Carly and Jessi my neighbor friends that I have known since I went to Minnesota invited me to go to the beach with them. It was so much fun. We just went and had a late lunch, walked around and took a drive. It was some good girl time. Kind of chilly though, the breeze from the ocean makes it cold. Here are some pictures.

While the Broncos played I went to the beach!
My workout goal.
I figured out something else to add to my daily routine. I am going to start taking the stairs. I live on the fourth floor so this should be something that I can do and it should help with my goal to lose weight and feel better about myself.

My fortune says. . .
"Soon wedding bells are in a family member's future."
I thought this was funny. But then it got me thinking, I wonder who it could be:
The studly Jacob Riley
The Charming Joshua Hazen
The Lovable Caleb Parley
The Beautiful and Smart Michael Aneron aka Mickey
The Drop Dead Gorgeous Hannah Mary. Dang well better not be her.
Or last but not least Samuel Cutler the great! Better not be him either.
We will see when the fortune happens. Never know there could be more then one.

So...
I was showering, I know TMI, and I realized that I need to work on the old figure. And my thoughts on dieting are if I have to think to hard about what I am going to eat then I don't eat. And that is never good because then I end up eating everything in sight later in the day. NOT GOOD!! So now I am going to try something new. I am still going to watch what I eat, no snacking, no candy, no soda, and no eating fast food or eating out, but now I am going to add a new workout goal every month. And I figure if I blog about it then people might ask me how I am doing and that will keep me motivated. And it gives me something to blog about. So for the rest of the month of September I am going to:
1. Do 100 sit-ups everyday.
2. Run/walk for 30 minutes everyday.
3. Stay positive.
This isn't something people normally blog about but I need some help so we will see if this helps motivates me.
I see all of you mothers out there and you guys all look amazing so I am thinking that might be the trick to looking good, having children to chase around all day. But for now while I don't have children I am going to have to try this route.
On another note I am going to be going to ARIZONA on the 31st of October for the weekend. I am so excited to see my family and to watch the girls play soccer. GO SJ GIRLS SOCCER!

So yeah, I just got kicked out of the living room
for commenting on the football players looks and adding my own off the wall comments about the great past time of watching football. Some of them have cute butts. So Tyler told me to leave the room and go and watch a movie in the other room. Little did he know I was waiting for him to kick me out so that I wouldn't have to hurt his feelings by leaving the house. Bring on football season! I think that I will enjoy this time of year because I can go out with my friends and I know he wont care because he can watch his football and baseball while I am gone. So see ya later honey!
So I started my new job on Tuesday and I absolutely love it. The little boy is five and his name is Justin, I pick him up from school and noon and we go home and play. This week we played a lot with legos. He was pretty impressed with my skills. I built a huge airplane, a helicopter, and a castle. My many years of playing with my brothers and nephews is finally paying off. He is a boys boy. He doesn't really like to watch tv which is a good change for me. Every once in a while when we are playing he will see one of his Spongebob toys and as he will say " it reminded me to watch spongebob," so he heads to the tv room. Then he watches for like ten minutes and then he is off to the races. He has a lot of energy. It really does help the whole missing my family by hanging out with this little boy. He kind of looks like Raymond and definitely has their energy. I also watch his older sister. We get her from school at three and then we come home and do her homework. She is 9 and her name is Kayla. She is a sweet girl. She is starting to warm up to me more and more everyday. I think it is the age and the fact that she is a girl. So I am really loving working with the kids. They are so easy to be with and I always have fun. The birds really do just stay on their perch but I have to walk past them to get to the toys which is a little scary at times but I am getting used to them, but every once in a while they make these terrible noises. So strange. The dogs are funny. The little one named cookie is becoming my friend and follows me around. But the other ones are old and just lay there. So that is that.
I am officially up and running with my Mary Kay. I have a website that people can order stuff from. If anyone needs anything just let me know. I am going about this in a way that I prefer best for me. I think they would like me to be more proactive but I just am letting people know that I have it and then they can come to me. I am not good at the pushy part of selling things. I love the make-up and I love doing make overs to people. It is fun to share what I have learned and help people. So if you have any questions or need anything don't hesitate to call or write or check out the website. They have a lot of cool new stuff and really good makeup.
Well I think that is it for now. Tyler is getting busier and he loves it. He is learning new stuff everyday. It is kind of fun to see him get a new task and try and figure out how to do it. Some days I am sure he gets frustrated but he is getting the hang of things. It is kind of nice that I am not home all day to distract him.
I am trying to plan a trip home to watch Hannah Mary play soccer, I am thinking the first weekend of the State Championship but we will see. Tyler has to go to Chicago for a few days sometime in October so that would be nice if it could be the same time. And then Tyler's parents are coming to visit in November and we are going to the USC vs Stanford football game. It should be fun! And then this year we go to the Isaacson home for Thanksgiving and the Ortiz's for Christmas. So we are trying to plan our vacations. The time is passing by so fast. It is crazy we have already lived here a month. Well I hope all is well.

Happy birthday GIRLIES!!
Aneron Racquel Winters was born 8 years ago on the 31st of August! She is was one of the sweetest girls I know. She is a good big sister and extra helpful for her mom, or at least she says she is. She is so considerate of others and so caring. She is the toughest girlie girl I know. She is a girl all the way but is tough as nails. She told her mom the other day that her favorite section in the store was the shoe department. She takes after her Aunt Naomi. We love our shoes. I hope she know I love her and I hope she had a good birthday!
Haley Anne Isaacson was born 7 years from today the 1st of September. She is such a helpful sweet big sister to her little brothers. She is like a little mom to them. She is so smart and loves school. I remember when the twins went to see them and she had them doing chores and made sure they did them correctly before they could do anything else. She makes such a good boss. Her brothers are so lucky to have her as a big sister. Love you Haley! Hope you had a good birthday party!
I forgot to mention that we went to the state fair. It was pretty fun. We have been to the Minnesota, Colorado, Arizona, and now the California state fairs. It would be so cool to go to all the state fairs, probably close to impossible but kind of a fun thought.

Whistle while you work. . .
So I got a job, well two of them kind of, I will start nannying for a family on Tuesday and I am starting to sell Mary Kay makeup.
The family that I am going to be nannying for is really awesome, and I have perfect hours. I work from 12 to 4 sometimes 5, so I get to sleep in still. If you know me you know I love my sleep. I will be watching a five year old boy after he gets out of school and then I will watch his sister and him when she gets out of school at 3. It should be really fun. They are fun kids and I can't wait to get to know them better. The only problem is, which isn't really a problem, just a funny coincidence, is that they have 2 BIG PARROTS. I am not a big fan of birds, but they told me that they never leave their perch, so I think I should be good. They also have a big salt water fish tank that is really fun to look at, the fish in there are beautiful.
Way back in the day I thought about selling Mary Kay, but nothing ever came of it. I went to a meeting that talked about it with my friend Rachel from Minn. but that was about it. Well, about a month ago, Rachel emailed me a Mary Kay thing to ask if I ever thought about selling Mary Kay. So thanks to Rachel I am going to finally start. My mom has always told me that I should sell make up or something and I am finally going to listen to her. It should be fun and a major learning experience. If you ever want any Mary Kay make up of supplies feel free to ask me. I am learning still but I can start selling now. Thanks!!

. . .
Ryan and Alecia sent me this picture of Taylon playing with her dolls and I thought it was such a cute picture. Her little head is just barely peaking out. She is such a cute little girl!
And then this is a picture of Rachel and Cameron's trampoline in the power lines after the terrible storm that hit Phoenix last night. I am glad everyone was safe and I was far away.

THANK YOU FOR COMING ASHLEY!
We had such a good weekend with Ashley! I am so grateful for such good friends! We went to Santa Cruz to site see and it was so fun. We went to the boardwalk and there were a lot of rides and shops right on the beach. It was so pretty. It got really crowded by the afternoon, so note to self go in the morning! We walked out on this pier and it was freezing. lol! But such a pretty view. There were a lot of people fishing and a lot of seals being obnoxious and bird worst of all there were ugly seagulls.I HATE BIRDS! But it was fun, there was a lot to see and plenty to do. We stayed there for a few hours and then we headed home. It is only thirty minutes away so it is the perfect place for a day trip! When we got home poor Tyler had to cook us all steaks, I know it was his birthday but he loves to grill like most men! So we had dinner and then we went and hung out in the hot tub! It was a nice relaxed weekend.I hope they had as much fun as I did!
Ashely and I on the boardwalk!
Staring at the weird wall prisoners!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER DEAR!

Tyler turned 25 today! Yeah I know he is old at least older then me. I made him a huge ice cream cake definitely not good for the diet but I am sure it will taste good. And no worries we are still kids. . . Tyler and Ashley and I stayed up until midnight so that Tyler could open his presents. HAHAHA! Ashley got him a card and a gift card she is so sweet and I got him a Sirius satellite radio so it was a fun night. Tyler's sister and Brooklyn gave him the sweet hat he is wearing in the pictures. He has yet to take it off. And he got some other stuff from his parents and grandma. So he is having a GREAT birthday. Thank you everyone for calling him! He loved it!
Our friend, mostly my friend, Ashley came to visit us this weekend. We are so glad to have company. So today we are going to Santa Cruz to see the ocean and walk around on the boardwalk. And for Tyler's birthday dinner he wanted steak and baked potatoes, so we will come home and hang out and eat birthday dinner! I hope he has a good day. He is a sweetheart and deserves the best. I am one lucky girl. I hate how he always has to have the bed made, but I am learning that it is a good thing. So far he is such a clean freak and he helps me with everything in the house, and he loves to go for walks with me and helps keeps me motivated, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this never changes. LOVE YOU TYLER!

Family photos.
Before we left Roseville we took some family photos with the boys. Man we miss them but it is kind of nice being able to walk around in a towel and not have to worry if the missionaries are going to walk in. lol!

Welcome to San Jose!
Well we made it and we have pretty much unpacked. Now I have to finish putting up pictures and decorating so that I can take some pictures to put on here. We absolutely love it here, we have so much more space and the weather is just perfect, we rarely use our a/c. Don't get me wrong I do miss Roseville, we had a lot of good memories there and we miss our boys and our friends, but this is just place is so nice. We live in a resort style living apartment complex and so we have two nice pools, one for swimming laps which I love and the gym is huge and Tyler loves that. There is also a park across the street so we have a place to go for walks, roller blade and play catch. It had been in the low 80s this week and at night we leave our windows open and get a really nice cool breeze. Well that is all for now! Oh yeah Tyler is liking his new job. He is catching on very well! Also it is his birthday on th 23rd! And Terri (mother-in-law) on the 22nd! August is a birthday month! Happy Birthday Alecia today! I still don't have a job. I interviewed for a nanny job but they told me that I have moved around to much so they didn't hire me. Oh well what can you do. I hope something else pops up soon! Here is a couple pictures of the view from our balcony.

Lake Trip
On Saturday evening we went to a pool party of some friends and they invited Tyler and I to go to the lake with them but Tyler had to go to Florida for meetings so being the good wife that I am went with them by myself. I sent Tyler pictures of the boat to rub it in. HAHA! Yeah I know I am cruel. He got to go to Universal Studios last night with everything paid for so I guess we are even.
I went with Kelley and Tyson, Allison and Len, Liz and Mike, and Carrie. It was so much fun. They are some of the nicest people ever. It was so fun to watch them wakeboard and they wanted me to try but I am to much of a chicken, but I did go on the tube which is always fun, it is like a free adjustment for your back. lol!
Here is a picture of Sly Park lake. It sits in the middle of the mountains or hills to anyone from Colorado. But it was so pretty and the water was just perfect.
Carrie and I tubing.
Me floating around after being thrown off of the tube and skidding across the water.
The whole group minus me because I am taking the picture.

Random thoughts. . .
Well first off we are pretty much moved, now i just have to get the remaining things from the old apartment and clean it and then I can finish unpacking everything in the new. But I have made Tyler promise that next time we move we will pay people to do the heavy stuff for us. Maybe I will make sure that I am pregnant so I have the excuse that I can't lift anything to heavy. I know I know, I am a sissy la la but seriously that king size mattress was way to heavy for me.
Random thought number 1: On 1 of our 5 trips to San Jose(2 1/2 hour drive) in the last couple weeks I have come to realize my love for windmills. Between here and there there is a place that has tons of windmills that are used to produce energy. Such a good idea. But I just think that they looks so pretty up on top of all of the hills with the yellow grass, that I am sure is green during the winter, covering them.
And I always remember as a kid going to the ranch with my dad or my grandpa and going to the windmill. It fascinates me how the windmills work. Whomever came up with the idea is a genius. Whenever I think of a windmill I think of the ranch and if you know me you know how much I love the ranch.
Random thought number 2: I have been thinking recently about how funny my husband is and I figured I better write down some of the funny things that he says so that I have proof. Remember he is my only child at the time and he is going to teach me patience for when I have more. So yesterday while we were doing some moving, I was complaining about having to do so many loads and he looks and me and says "What you think because you are a woman you only have to do 50% of the work!" I just couldn't stop laughing. All I could say was "You think you are a man so you don't have to do any of the house work!"
A little reason for why I call him my child... the other morning I was sleeping in because I was so worn out from moving and when I woke up I could here him tip toeing around the apartment trying to be quiet so I just stayed in bed for awhile reading and then a few minutes later he comes into the room to see if I was awake because he was bored but he knew that I needed to sleep. We have a rule that if I am sleeping in and I don't need to be up for anything then he has to leave me alone and go entertain himself in the other room. I am training him pretty well with this but he does complain because he can't ever sit still and I am a sleeper.
Other funny stories, let's see, one time he called me the titanic when we were swimming. Boy was I mad. He didn't mean it that way but still. I said I was a little boat floating around the pool and he said I was the titanic and that he was going to sink me like the real boat. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks before he talks.
He is so clumsy. He is like a bull in a china closet. But enough of about Tyler he knows I love him and that he makes me laugh everyday.
Random thought number 3: I have I said already that I hate moving. But I am so excited to live in San Jose. It is fairly close to the ocean and the weather is so nice, 70's and 80's and the night are kind of chilly but it is so nice to be able to sleep with the windows open. We loved living in Roseville and we will miss it dearly but San Jose will also be so fun and we will get to meet new people and do some more exploring. And did I mention that I have some friends from MN that live in the same complex as us. So we will already have some friends close by to keep us company.
Final random thought: We are going to miss the missionary boys so much. They have become a part of our family. So much that I think that I will name a kid after them. They have been our saving grace at times. And we also realized how much money we are going to save now that we wont be feeding them all the time. Not that we didn't love having them around but they do get expensive. Here is a little slide show of pictures of them. I hope that one of them marries either Mickey or Hannah, they would fit in the family just great.

Happy Birthday twinners!
Josh and Caleb's birthday was on the 18th but according to my nieces and nephews you can't have a birthday until you have cake so we had a late party for them and had birthday cake. Hope they had a good day! Aren't they such handsome boys!

And finally the rest. . .
While we were all home we decided to take family pictures. Thank you Janalee for taking some time to take our picture. These pictures are from my camera so they aren't the best but when I get the ones from Jana I will post them. It was so fun to have us all together and I hope this is something that happens more often. Here is a slide show with some picture of the rest of our week. It was so much fun. Tyler and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was so good to see all of them and I miss them all dearly!
p.s. Did I mention what great dancers my siblings are. I should have taken my camera to take pictures of them. Jacob has taught Mickey and the twins to dance and so they are all pros. They throw the girls in the air and twirl them around like in the movies. It is so cool to watch. I wish I was better but dancing just isn't in my forte. Mickey was even teaching Tyler. He doesn't have the best rhythm but he will get it down.
Tyler getting a pedi
The girls just loved Tyler and he is so new to the family that he couldn't say "NO" to them. By the end of all this fun they wanted to marry him and they just thought he was the best uncle in the world! I am glad he enjoyed playing with them. He was either being entertained by the kids or by my brothers so they made my job easy!
These pictures are classic, you would have thought he was in salon by the way they had him all set up with the things in between his toes and how he was so relaxed.

I love my nieces and nephews!
I have the cutest nieces and nephews. That is my reason for not having my own. Just kidding of course. On Monday evening I decided I would take all the kids swimming. Oh man that was hard work. I don't know how Rachel and my mom did it. Thanks heavens Sally and Abe weren't there yet. I give all you mothers so much more respect! The kids did a lot of swimming either at the pool or at the pond. They had so much fun at Grandma Isaacson's house. They also enjoyed all the 24th celebration events like the rodeo and the parade. And Haley loved the dance because she got to dance with her Uncles. Slade on the other hand just wanted to hang out at Grandma's because he got to eat Cocoa puffs there. Lol! Slade has such a low voice so it is so fun to listen to him talk. The kids all loved playing with there cousins. It was so good to have us all together. And it was also fun to bring in a few extras, Jacque and her kids got to share the week with us and Lindsay and her family got to share the weekend with us. So we had quite the crowd and enjoyed every minute of it. Here is a slide show of the kids. There is so much more I could write about all these kids but the slide show tells a little bit. I love them all and can't wait to add my own to the crazy bunch.
p.s. I forgot to tell about the rodeo. Raymond and Slade rode sheep and it was so cute. They were the last ones to go so there sheep were tired as Raymond would say. He said his just walked out! And it did. Probably a good thing for our sake. That kid has no fear and is the toughest kid I know. Aneron and Grant rode steers. Poor Granty got stepped on but he handled it like a pro. And Aneron Aneron Aneron, the night before she watched a bull riding movie with me to prepare. She is the toughest little girlie girl I know. She got bucked off and did a back flip. It was a little different then she expected. She got off and said "WOOOOOW!" What great kids! And Haley sat with me and watched. She told me that she would rather watch then get hurt and end up in the hospital. I am totally with her.
