Sunday Sunday!

No beach this Sunday just a nice relaxing day at the pool and then a small BBQ. It was so fun to have the girls over and helping me in the kitchen making guacamole, salsa, and Liz dip. Tyler took care of cooking the steaks and we girls took care of the rest. The food was amazing. Kind of a weird combination. Chips and salsa and Steak and potatoes?? Here are a few pictures. I ate way to much for my diet but I hope I will still be okay on Wed. weigh in!

Tyler has a busy month: he leaves to So Cal tonight until Wed night for training. And then Sunday he goes to Ohio for another training until that Friday. And then on the 24th he gets his wisdom teeth pulled. Poor thing! And then I go to AZ on the 31st! This month hopefully will fly by. Good thing I know some girls here so that I am not completely alone for all the time he is training.
And I need to mention that we made some new friends on Saturday night. We were hanging out at the hot tub and another couple and a guy came over with us and we made some friends. They are so nice! The couple, Jono and Saskia are from South Africa. And funny enough she is a nanny also, with some what of the same schedule as me and her husband works from home most of the time. So we have a lot in common. Tyler is so excited. I already had some girl friends here to go shopping with but when I would do that he would be home alone watching football, now he has someone to watch it with him! And I have a new walking partner for in the morning. Carly and Jessi walk with me at night and Saskia wants to walk in the am. I try to run in the am so I guess I will have to go a little earlier before she gets there. I need the extra walk!!!

Only in California. . .

So I went to the dentist the other day and my dentist told me I had pretty eyes and then he proceeded to ask me if they were mine. Only in California would people question if your eyes are you own. Seriously! I guess most things around here are fake. lol! And he also has a dog that roams around his office. So gross to me, it seriously can't be sanitary. But he is nice and old so what can you do. I love dogs but I don't think they are welcome in any kind of medical area where I am doing to have someones hands in my mouth. If I get a dog hair in my mouth while I am there I am going to flip! He was seriously sitting by the dentist chair. So SICK! Well enough complaining for the day. Now I am going to go watch Sex in the City the movie!

WeIgH iN wEdNeSdAy!

It was the dreaded day to weigh in and I felt like I did so much better then the scale said but what can you do, the scale never lies. I gained .2 lbs, so not much but still wish it were a negative. I guess I just need to work harder. I feel like I have been doing so good with my working out and eating. But this coming week I am going to work harder and pay better attention to what I eat. I am going to try and cut out sugar except for on Saturday. My sister's and I used to do this back in the day and I think that I am gong to bring it back. I have also started to take more vitamins and make sure I take them everyday. I think it will help with how I feel and hopefully with my sleeping habits. TIP for me "BE POSITIVE"!!! Read something in Men's Health that a lot of losing weight is mental. If you think positive about yourself and losing weight then you can do it!

BeAcH bUmS!

Another Sunday at the beach, but this time we went and sat on the beach and watched the sunset and made s'mores. It was so BeAuTiFuL! Tyler was not there of course. He was home watching football, but he says he will come next time. Sorry it is a picture overload.Carly, Curtis (Carly's bf), Jessi, Katie, and I

We are doing good. I have been doing pretty good at the diet and working out but the true test will be on Wednesday when I weigh in.

WeDnEsDaY wEiGh In

So I am declaring Wednesday my weigh in days to check my progress. And Rachel gave me the idea to post how much I have lost and not my weight. I really am not the sure of myself to tell the blogger world what I weigh so I am going with Rachel's idea. So every Wednesday I will be posting how much I have lost or gained in that week. I LOST 2 lbs in the last week and a half. So hopefully I can keep that up. I want to be able to have a noticeable change when I go home for Halloween.
My workouts have been okay but the last couple days I have been doing a lot better. I even went in the gym with Tyler and did some lifting for my arms and legs. I have climbed the stairs 6 times in the last two days and I have been doing better in the eating department. I don't eat after 7 and my dessert is normally a thing of fruit snacks. I have to have my sweets, so that hits the spot. I have found that the Crystal Light singles work perfectly for in my bottles of water. They have an energy one that has some caffeine in it, but don't confuse it with the tea ones. I think tea is gross! I have also been good about doing my sit ups and I am adding some push-ups. I normally do these during the commercials of whatever show I happen to be watching. Speaking of shows, I loved the biggest loser families. It motivates me to work harder. And whenever I am not motivated I take Mickey's idea, and I stand in front of a mirror naked and jump up and down. It reminds me that I need to get my butt in gear and work out. I want to be able to do that and my gut not still be jiggling 5 minutes after the rest of me has stopped. LOL! I know, way to many details.
Well that is my check in for the week. Hope everyone has a good week!

Auto's Class is finally paying off!!

Today my little friend and I were working on his bike and his jeep. We took the training wheels off of his bike for a warm up and then we moved on to a biggest fastest jeep in the world. It really worked just fine but he still insisted on fixing it.

First we jacked it up and put it on blocks aka I picked it up and he put wood under it. The jack stopped working and I had no idea how to fix it.

Then he looked under the hood and made sure it had oil and water.

Then we removed the front tires so he could rotate them.

He is such a boys boy. He loves cars and likes to quiz my knowledge on them. Most of the time he just makes up stuff which is really funny. It is a good thing that I know a little bit about cars otherwise he might want to trade me in for another assistant. After his lessons I think I might be able to get a mechanic job.

While the Broncos played I went to the beach!

Carly and Jessi my neighbor friends that I have known since I went to Minnesota invited me to go to the beach with them. It was so much fun. We just went and had a late lunch, walked around and took a drive. It was some good girl time. Kind of chilly though, the breeze from the ocean makes it cold. Here are some pictures.
The three of us after we ate.

My workout goal.

I figured out something else to add to my daily routine. I am going to start taking the stairs. I live on the fourth floor so this should be something that I can do and it should help with my goal to lose weight and feel better about myself.

My fortune says. . .

"Soon wedding bells are in a family member's future."
I thought this was funny. But then it got me thinking, I wonder who it could be:
The studly Jacob Riley

The Charming Joshua Hazen

The Lovable Caleb Parley

The Beautiful and Smart Michael Aneron aka Mickey

The Drop Dead Gorgeous Hannah Mary. Dang well better not be her.

Or last but not least Samuel Cutler the great! Better not be him either.

We will see when the fortune happens. Never know there could be more then one.

My sister makes these cute little hats and shoes for Ivy and they are so cute! It always makes me smile when I see her.

So...

I was showering, I know TMI, and I realized that I need to work on the old figure. And my thoughts on dieting are if I have to think to hard about what I am going to eat then I don't eat. And that is never good because then I end up eating everything in sight later in the day. NOT GOOD!! So now I am going to try something new. I am still going to watch what I eat, no snacking, no candy, no soda, and no eating fast food or eating out, but now I am going to add a new workout goal every month. And I figure if I blog about it then people might ask me how I am doing and that will keep me motivated. And it gives me something to blog about. So for the rest of the month of September I am going to:
1. Do 100 sit-ups everyday.
2. Run/walk for 30 minutes everyday.
3. Stay positive.
This isn't something people normally blog about but I need some help so we will see if this helps motivates me.
I see all of you mothers out there and you guys all look amazing so I am thinking that might be the trick to looking good, having children to chase around all day. But for now while I don't have children I am going to have to try this route.

On another note I am going to be going to ARIZONA on the 31st of October for the weekend. I am so excited to see my family and to watch the girls play soccer. GO SJ GIRLS SOCCER!

So yeah, I just got kicked out of the living room

for commenting on the football players looks and adding my own off the wall comments about the great past time of watching football. Some of them have cute butts. So Tyler told me to leave the room and go and watch a movie in the other room. Little did he know I was waiting for him to kick me out so that I wouldn't have to hurt his feelings by leaving the house. Bring on football season! I think that I will enjoy this time of year because I can go out with my friends and I know he wont care because he can watch his football and baseball while I am gone. So see ya later honey!
So I started my new job on Tuesday and I absolutely love it. The little boy is five and his name is Justin, I pick him up from school and noon and we go home and play. This week we played a lot with legos. He was pretty impressed with my skills. I built a huge airplane, a helicopter, and a castle. My many years of playing with my brothers and nephews is finally paying off. He is a boys boy. He doesn't really like to watch tv which is a good change for me. Every once in a while when we are playing he will see one of his Spongebob toys and as he will say " it reminded me to watch spongebob," so he heads to the tv room. Then he watches for like ten minutes and then he is off to the races. He has a lot of energy. It really does help the whole missing my family by hanging out with this little boy. He kind of looks like Raymond and definitely has their energy. I also watch his older sister. We get her from school at three and then we come home and do her homework. She is 9 and her name is Kayla. She is a sweet girl. She is starting to warm up to me more and more everyday. I think it is the age and the fact that she is a girl. So I am really loving working with the kids. They are so easy to be with and I always have fun. The birds really do just stay on their perch but I have to walk past them to get to the toys which is a little scary at times but I am getting used to them, but every once in a while they make these terrible noises. So strange. The dogs are funny. The little one named cookie is becoming my friend and follows me around. But the other ones are old and just lay there. So that is that.
I am officially up and running with my Mary Kay. I have a website that people can order stuff from. If anyone needs anything just let me know. I am going about this in a way that I prefer best for me. I think they would like me to be more proactive but I just am letting people know that I have it and then they can come to me. I am not good at the pushy part of selling things. I love the make-up and I love doing make overs to people. It is fun to share what I have learned and help people. So if you have any questions or need anything don't hesitate to call or write or check out the website. They have a lot of cool new stuff and really good makeup.
Well I think that is it for now. Tyler is getting busier and he loves it. He is learning new stuff everyday. It is kind of fun to see him get a new task and try and figure out how to do it. Some days I am sure he gets frustrated but he is getting the hang of things. It is kind of nice that I am not home all day to distract him.
I am trying to plan a trip home to watch Hannah Mary play soccer, I am thinking the first weekend of the State Championship but we will see. Tyler has to go to Chicago for a few days sometime in October so that would be nice if it could be the same time. And then Tyler's parents are coming to visit in November and we are going to the USC vs Stanford football game. It should be fun! And then this year we go to the Isaacson home for Thanksgiving and the Ortiz's for Christmas. So we are trying to plan our vacations. The time is passing by so fast. It is crazy we have already lived here a month. Well I hope all is well.

Happy birthday GIRLIES!!

Aneron Racquel Winters was born 8 years ago on the 31st of August! She is was one of the sweetest girls I know. She is a good big sister and extra helpful for her mom, or at least she says she is. She is so considerate of others and so caring. She is the toughest girlie girl I know. She is a girl all the way but is tough as nails. She told her mom the other day that her favorite section in the store was the shoe department. She takes after her Aunt Naomi. We love our shoes. I hope she know I love her and I hope she had a good birthday!

Haley Anne Isaacson was born 7 years from today the 1st of September. She is such a helpful sweet big sister to her little brothers. She is like a little mom to them. She is so smart and loves school. I remember when the twins went to see them and she had them doing chores and made sure they did them correctly before they could do anything else. She makes such a good boss. Her brothers are so lucky to have her as a big sister. Love you Haley! Hope you had a good birthday party!

I forgot to mention that we went to the state fair. It was pretty fun. We have been to the Minnesota, Colorado, Arizona, and now the California state fairs. It would be so cool to go to all the state fairs, probably close to impossible but kind of a fun thought.
