Ronnee finally gets to meet more family!

This last weekend we got to have Ivy and Rachel come for a visit. Ronnee finally got to meet an Aunt and a cousin. Now they are definitely the favorite! We had so much fun with them and were sad to see them go. We went shopping, to a pumpkin patch...
Little Ivy, the one who would have enjoyed it the most, slept. So we put a pumpkin in with her to prove that she was there.

We also took a trip up to Tahoe to see the colors again...

Ivy Jane was just as enthused with the fish as I was. It smelled way worse then last week. Lots more dead fish. We also carved some pumpkins... here is Tyler's

Mine hahahahaha
And Rachel's. She did a double sided on. You can tell which 2 have the talent.
And for the most part we played with the girls... Aren't they the cutest witches. Thanks Rachel for the hats!
And the Cutest little lambs. lol
And while we adults carved pumpkins Ivy babysat Ronnee. It was so cute to watch her. She loved the baby.
Thank you for coming and visiting Rachel! It was so much fun! We miss you already!

Tahoe in the Fall!

The beautiful fall colors! We took a drive to Tahoe to see the fall colors and enjoy the wonderful weather. It was so nice to walk around and smell the fresh air. Something that there wasn't to much of in San Jose! Little Ronnee slept the whole time but I am sure enjoyed the ride! We took pictures with her to prove that she was there even though she slept the entire time!

Not only did I enjoy the fresh air but I learned a lot about salmon. Did you know that after they spawn they DIE! It is spawning season so there were a ton of fish just hanging out up there until they died. So there were dead fish everywhere also. So weird! They turn a bright red color also. Pretty cool to see!

1 month ALREADY!!!

I can't believe she is already a month. It has be a fun adventurous month. She is getting so big. Probably well over 9 lbs and growing like a champ. She is a snacker when it comes to eating which isn't the coolest but what can you do. I try to get her to eat for longer and she just wont. She sleeps pretty good but can sense when I am going to put her down. She likes to stay up late and I hate that but at least we nap during the day. Poor Tyler has to wake up early and she normally wakes him up with her loud eating in the night. Never thought a kid could eat so loud! She thinks it is a party or something. She holds her head up and loves staring at lights and bright things. She is starting to smile for us and loves just listening to her daddy's voice. She just stares at him when he gets home from work. She is probably going to be a daddy's girl so I am enjoying the fact that she loves to cuddle with me. We are loving being parents!
It is crazy to think that my baby is a month and has only met our parents. Which is just one of the sad parts of living so far away from everyone! BUT GOOD NEWS that is about to change, not the distance part, but Rachel and Ivy Jane are coming to visit us in a week! We are so excited and can't wait to see them. Ronnee and Ivy are probaby close to the same size. lol

Our new home!

Here is the scenery around our apartment complex. Isn't it pretty! Before moving here I had know idea what it looked like. I have been here before but didn't really pay attention.
Here is our walking path that goes around this little meadow. We have had some really beautiful days recently and we have been loving our walks! It is how I get my little angel to sleep sometimes. Last night we went on 2 walks because she thought it was party time at 10 pm. She forgets that her mom loves her sleep and likes to be in bed by then.

I will eventually take pictures of our new apartment, it is still not all put together. And will also take a picture of our cool pool. It is heated to 80 year round! Man I can't wait until I can swim. And it is just a beautiful pool area. The people here are so nice. We went to the pool the other day so that Tyler could be a kid again. And everyone was so friendly. There are a lot of older people that live here and a few families but everyone gets along. They have a lot of cool activities for everyone to get to know each other. I can't wait until we can join in. A few people in the office have had the flu so we have been keeping our distance. Can't imagine have a sick little baby quite yet!
So far we are really liking it here and I hope it continues to be that way!

Fun with the In-Laws!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you Ronnie and Terri for helping us pack up and move. I hope I wasn't to much of a brat and I hope you know how grateful I am for your help.
On Friday we took a trip to Tahoe because it was supposed to be cold on the weekend. It was still a little chilly but it was sure beautiful! Made me happier that we moved here. I love the mountains. Snow not so much but I will have to deal with it. Hopefully Ronnee loves it also!
Other then taking them to Tahoe and making them work like Mexicans we did a lot of shopping. Terri loves to shop and this is a whole new shopping area! It was nice to get to know where all the shopping areas are and to get to know our new home! I hope Ronnie and Terri had a good trip. Little Ronnee sure loved the attention and the love!
We went and took pics today and here is one of them. Isn't she the cutest!

2 week and 3 day check up...

Our little chunk gained 14 more ounces! She now weighs 8lbs 14oz. What a little chunky monkey! She is such a good eater. Obviously! We really like her doctor in Reno. I am not sure if Ronnee does because he dropped the stethoscope on her and hit her in the nose. She was so pissed. Good thing Mimi was there with her and I was filling out paperwork. Damn doctor! But other then that everything went well! She is getting so big so fast. Got to love those fat cheeks and big belly!

We made it to Reno...

On Wednesday morning we woke up and went and picked up Mimi and Snakes from the airport so they could help up pack up and move to Reno. Snakes was so excited to meet little Ronnee. It was so cute.

Packing was such a pain in the butt. We thought we were pretty much packed but then we started loading the truck and packing the rest of the house and it got stressful. How did we get so much crap. We almost didn't think that we would fit it all in the truck but thanks to Ronnie's UPS packing skills we made it. And after 10 hours packing we headed on our way. It was 11 pm so we drove and hour and stopped for the night. The next morning we woke and drove like crazy. We stopped in Sacramento to pick up a crib and see Elder Dalton. He goes home in 20 days! Then we drove like hell to get to Reno because we had a doctors appointment for Ronnee and 1:40pm. We literally pulled into town and walked into the doctors office. I walked in nursing little Ronnee so she would be happy for the Doctor. More on the appointment in the next post.
After the doctor we went to the new apartment and started unpacking. That went a lot faster then packing it did. We were all exhausted. Thank you so much Ronnie and Terri. We would have never been able to do it without your help. I was not much help and I still was exhausted from the move. I did a little to much on the first day and suffered for a little bit but luckily recovered fast!
We still are not all the way moved in. Tyler and his mom did a ton but I need to organize things how it works for me, so it could take a little while with the little one. But Tyler it will get done I promise! He would love for it to all be done now because that is his personality but he will be lucky if I get it done in the next 2 weeks.
Thanks again Ronnie and Terri! We owe you big time.

Adventures with The Mother!

While my mom was here for 2 weeks helping us with the baby we did some site seeing. One day we went to San Francisco so she and Ronnee could have that experience. It was col and foggy but still a fun trip. Ronnee just stayed bundled up in her little sling, that she absolutely loves.
And one of the days we took a trip to the beach. We figured we should take Ronnee to the ocean before we move her far away from it. I am sure when she grows up she is going to be mad at us for taking her out of California.

We figured we better make my mom's trip a little fun. Thanks mom for all your help with the packing and most of all for the good company for those 2 weeks. It sure was fun! We need to plan a girls trip!

1 Week old!

We went to the doctor today for a week check up. When we left the hospital Ronnee weighed 7lbs 6oz and today she weighed 8lbs! My baby is an eater! She did so good with all the doctors maneuvering and she didn't pee on the scale either.
I think we are up to 4 times that she has peed or pooped or both while I am changing her diaper. It never happens to Tyler. And the other day right after I got out of the shower and all cleaned up, she pooped through her diaper and all down the front of me. SO LOVELY!
Other then all the pooping she is such a good girl. She sleeps and eats a lot and when she isn't doing one of those she is going to the bathroom.
This has been the best week of our lives and we are loving being parents. Tyler is so cute with her and she already has him wrapped around her finger. She is my little lover girl!

More pictures...

While Grandma reads I sluggle!

Yes my nails are painted!
Daddy's first time getting me dressed. Seemed like it took FOREVER! But I did look cute!
I am sure loving all this attention I am getting!

Ronnee Evalene

On Sept 14 we went to the hospital at 7:30am to be induced. Knowing that we were going to the hospital the next day to see have our baby and found out if it was a boy or girl, we did not sleep so good that night and we were up way before our alarms went off. We were so full of excitement and a little fear that we just laid there talking about it. Then finally it was time to go! We got to the hospital and got all checked in and then they hooked me up to an IV and started the Petocin. At around noon I started to feel some contractions getting stronger and at about 1:30 they were getting pretty unbearable so they gave me some medicine through my IV because I couldn't get an epidural because the anesthesiologist was in a C section. So at 3 I was able to get an epidural. I was dilated to a 3 at that time. Man I felt so much better after that. I did good for a few hours and I was slowly dilating then the pressure started. That was horrible!!! I had so much pressure and I had terrible shivers. So they gave me a little bit more medicine through my IV. Then I think around 9 or 10 I started pushing. The doctor got there around 11 and I did one big push and our little one was here! She was born at 11:16 pm and weighed 7lbs 13 oz and was 19.25in long. She has so much dark brown hair that she had to have gotten from Tyler because I had white hair!

We were so surprised that she was a girl because we had been hearing a lot that they thought we were having a boy but it was a good surprise. Tyler and I couldn't be happier. We had to send the Mother in Laws out shopping for little girl clothes because we had only had boy clothes. And there was no way I was going to let my little girl wear boy clothes! Here is her first picture with Daddy.

The new little Ortiz family!
And the other night we were watching baseball so we had to have this little baseball outfit on. She looked like a little boy so I had to put the headband on. Thanks Bailey you are a life saver, people would get her gender confused if you didn't send me those cute headbands! I need to add that the D-Backs beat the Rockies that night! She was good luck in this outfit. Poor daddy and Mimi!

I know this is just a tip of the iceberg with our new little girl but we are loving it. She is such a good sleeper like her mommy and is a good eater, also gets that from her mom! Last night she slept for 4.5 hours. I can handle that!

This week we have had my mom here and Tyler's mom here. We are so grateful for the help! Terri left home today and my mom is staying for another week to help with the baby and help us pack up all our stuff so we can move on Oct 1st.

I will add more pictures later!

She is here!

Ronnee Evalene Ortiz was born on September 14th at 11:16pm. She weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 19.25 in long! She has a full head of dark brown almost black hair, not sure where that came from! She is such a cute little thing and we are loving it. I will post pictures and write more hopefully this weekend.

All my bags are packed....

and I am being induced at 7:30 in the morning so the end is in site. And I am so absolutely completely nervous! I am keeping the positive attitude that everything is going to go smoothly but it is hard to think about the negative.
My mom got here on Saturday and she made me walk forever and then run hills! I was dying needless to say! Also my mom had me doing yoga poses and then we went to the mall and got a massage and had Ice Cream for dinner! And today my mother-in-law got here and we did some more walking and followed that with some spicy Chinese food! So now I think I am tired enough to sleep through the night as long as my nerves don't get the best of me!
So wish me luck and I will keep everyone posted on all the who, what, when!

...

My parents are in Arkansas for Haley's baptism so my mom has been sending me pictures and I thought I would share. Such cute kiddos and there pony Henry and chickens. And poor little Lincoln and his broken leg. Wish I were there to see you also!

I am home alone! Tyler went to Reno for some meetings and to find us a place to live. We are moving there at the end of the month. So this was a good opportunity to go. I was dilated to a 2 on Tuesday at our doctors appointment, so hopefully the baby will come soon! I have been having some mild contractions but nothing to crazy that makes me think that the baby will be here today. I also have a little bit of a stomach bug. So basically I have been laying around all day. I can't wait for this baby to get here so that I can sleep comfortably. I know I will have a crying baby waking me up when that time comes but at least I will be able to get comfortable easy. If I don't have my baby by my due date I am scheduled to be induced on that day. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
