Week 2

24th celebration!

The 24th is a busy week in San Juan!  The first few days of the week are filled with basketball and volleyball. Josh and Caleb and Jake all played but on 2 separate teams. And if I remember correctly the twins beat Jake’s team at some point!

Thursday was the ice cream social and sadly I have no pics of the little messy kids!

Friday was the adult rodeo and Jake did the wild Cow milking with Austin and Steve and they won! And he also did the grocery race with Steve and Shance and they won that event too!  It was pretty fun watching those men act like kids!

They also did the rawhide race… poor kids!

Ronnee loved the rodeo because of all the hordey’s!

That night we went to the campfire circle and then went and played in the alumni soccer game. It was kind of fun to have all of Sisters on the same team! Sadly no pic of us all together!

Saturday morning bright and early all of us girls woke up and did the 5k or the 10k. Rachel, mom, and Hannah did the 10 k… showoffs… and Mick and I did the 5k! Pretty fun that all of us girls were able to do what we set out to do! RUN THE WHOLE WAY!!! I almost died and I think I held Mickey back but we made it!

Later we went to the parade.

Josh and Caleb took Ronnee to the Junior rodeo and I went to Mickey’s bridal shower (pics in later post). I was worried about how Ronnee would do but she did so good with them and they even got her to take a nap!

Sam did every event at the Rodeo and won the ALL AROUND COWBOY!!! Way to go Samuel!

It was so fun watching Sam in his element. I have 2 cowboy brothers. When my kid grows up and wants to have a horse I am sending her to live with one of them!!!

The 24th was so much fun and I am so glad and didn’t have to miss it. To bad Tyler wasn’t there but hopefully next year!

Az week 1....

I got a ride to Phoenix with the Adams family on Saturday the 9th of July. We left on friday and stopped in Vegas for the night and made the rest of the trip  on Saturday. At one of our many stops  Callie told some ladies that she had 2 moms so Jeri and I were getting some looks. lol  

When we got to Mesa, Jake came and picked us up and we to Josh and Caleb’s house to go swim with all the kids. Rachel and her family was there and Ike and Steph came over. The kids had so much fun. The kids have really fun Uncles!

Jake and I left that evening to head to Sj!

That first week in Sj I thought it would be a good time to potty train Ronnee because I could have my mom and Rachel to help me. Well we tried and tried and my mom decided that Ronnee is appositionally  defiant!!! I through in the towel when she walked over to me, looked at me, peed on the carpet then smiled and walked away! Yeah it was either the death of me or her so I decided to stop. My mom told me that she is my Jacob Riley! Wish me luck!!   But seriously potty training has been my hardest moment in parenting yet. I hope she realizes that I am meaner and more stubborn and I will win now that we are home!

But other then that crap…. the kids had so much fun playing. Ronnee followed Ivy where ever she went and would go with anyone that would take her to see the horses or swing or take her for a ride on the ranger!

Ronnee learned how yummy pop pop (popsicles) are and she was so cute sitting on the porch swing eating her pop pop!

A lot of the times if you couldn’t find the kids they were playing with the chickens. Ronnee was learning how to chase them! I might need to get a chicken for her to play with… never mind cancel that thought she has her dogs and that is plenty for me!

Ronnee loves loves loves horses! She could sit outside and watch them all day.

Mama horse died a few days later and baby horse went to his new home. So we were left with just watching Looselip(sam’s horse) and Monroe (jake’s horse) But she still loved when they would come to the house to see her!

That first weekend we were there the kids had a swim meet in the morning  sorry no pics but the kids did really good!  And that afternoon was the SRP/TEP party! The girls had a blast dancing with the band!

That first week there was really fun and went by really fast!  The next week was the 24th celebration!

AZ bound!

I will be taking up residence in AZ for the next month! We are trying to save some money and so when Jeri offered to take us with her to AZ with her Tyler decided to send us. It will save us money on a couple plane tickets and food along with a few other things. So Tyler felt that Ronnee and I should go. I hope that we all can survive. WE are excited to be there to help my mom but not sure how I feel about being away from Tyler and my house! Oh and I am not sure how Ronnee is going to handle it. I just hope her and I are still friends when we get home!

I will be away from blogging for a while but when I return I will have a ton to blog about! 24th celebration, swim meet for the winters kids, family reunion, and the most important.... MICKEY'S WEDDING!
