A white Christmas in AZ!

Christmas so much fun this year and no family fights were had!  Besides all the play fighting so that Ronnee would run in the room and split of the fight and yell at them. She does not like fighting or play fighting. She would lecture whoever was fighting tell them not to be mean. She would get really mad if anyone picked on her Hannah!

On our way down to AZ we stopped at the Listman’s for the night in Vegas to visit. Ronnee was so shy at first but you give her a few minutes and she was climbing in bed with Cleo and a book! She got spoiled rotten and she loved that she could hold the leash of their little dogs on our walk.  Sadly I was lame and didn’t even get my camera out. 

Wednesday after Tyler went golfing with Jeff we hit the road and made it to good ole San Juan before the storms hit. For the next few days it snowed and snowed. So we had a white Christmas!  Ronnee loved touching the snow and playing outside with the kids even though it was so cold! I myself stayed in the house with all the yummy food and didn’t even step outside to take pictures!

Christmas Eve we had a white elephant gift exchange and the rule was that it had to be something that you wore.  It was very entertaining to say the least! And after we opened them we had to go caroling wearing what we got.

My mom will kill me for putting this picture up here but good thing she told me she doesn’t read my blog. lol  We were all shocked that she put it on and went caroling!  Cant wait for next years!!

Later that night Tyler and Caleb went out in just the speedo’s and made snow angels. Hannah got pictures and I cant wait to see them!

My mom this year made all of us hats instead of pj’s. They are different and so cute. Ronnee wears hers around the house!

Ronnee didn’t really know or care about Christmas. So she helped put all the gifts under the Christmas tree on Christmas eve and even helped me wrap her gifts and left them alone. Christmas morning we woke her up and we went to the living room and she did think much of all the presents.  She did have fun ripping open all the gifts but doesn’t really care for them. Lol She doesn’t really like new things we are learning and thinks her baby alive is scary because it moves and cries. This all makes me laugh because all real animals big or small dont scare her at all but a baby doll does!

The kids all had a blast and I think they were all happy with what they got!

Church was really good and Ronnee didn’t even throw to big of a fit when we put the dress on her. She loved this little baby that is Ivy’s so they had a little fight during church over it. I should have thought to bring her a baby.

On Monday we loaded up the cars and went Tubing. It was really entertaining to watch.

Boys are not very smart and went down a really steep hill and they next day they could barely walk!

Dont mess with her Hannah or she will cry!

I am so glad I am prego so that I could get out of tubing! I prefer taking the pictures instead of getting injured!

Jake got these really cute blow up bouncy cows and Ronnee loved them. One night she stole Jakes hat and put on her heels and went for a ride!

And when you couldn’t find her and Ivy you would always find them playing with their babies and a blanket! These girls are way to cute for their own good!

It was so fun being home and watching Ronnee’s relationships with all my siblings and her cousins. If anyone said they were going to leave the house she would say “I’m coming, I get my boots”  I am sure they all got sick of the fact that she had to go everywhere with them. But she got spoiled rotten because she could boss them all around and they would listen!  Man I wish that we lived closer so I could ship her off to there houses for a few hours here and there to get a nice break!

We had such a fun Christmas and I think that next year Ronnee will enjoy it even more! She has yet to play with any of her new stuff but I am hoping with time she will realize new stuff is okay and fun! lol

25 Weeks down 15 to go!

Growing growing growing. I have already bitched about then in a previous post so I will refrain. Lol  I already love this little wiggly worm in my belly more then words. I  stress about knowing if I am going to be a good enough mom and if he/she is going to love me!  I worry about everything that goes in my mouth and how I sleep and everything because I want to make sure to have a healthy baby!    But for now just keep on wiggling so I know you are still alive and strong and I will continue being your incubator!

Random side note!

My little sister and I were talking and I was talking about how I cant figure out how to parent Ronnee when it comes to discipline and she replies “I dont know how to parent” and I said neither do I. I dont think anyone honestly knows how to parent. It is all trial and error with all kids and you just got to hope and pray that you figure it out with each kid before you go crazy!  I am currently in limbo with Ronnee and I hope we figure something out soon!

Santa…. I KNOW HIM!

  She went from smiling to straight fear as soon as she saw the sweet old man! She hated it as bad as last year! Not sure why the guy is so scary to her but maybe one day she will come around!

She is so funny and easy when it comes to Christmas this year. It is so nice to have a kid that doesn’t touch the tree and all the decorations. And when it comes to gifts… she helped me wrap all of them and so she knows what is in everyone and doesn’t touch any of the gifts!  When we were wrapping them she told the baby bye bye and put the paper over it. It was so funny!  I hope that doesn’t mean she isn’t going to like them! lol  She is at a fun age for buying gifts and yet we really haven’t got her much poor thing! But I am thinking she will be content with whatever as long as she has her baby, a pillow, and her purse!

Today's thoughts...

Funny thing is I am in a pretty good mood but I was thinking about things that really bug me so why not blog about it and then maybe I can stop thinking about them....
First I have this weird annoyance to people using Xmas instead of Christmas. No offense to anyone but I just hate that thought of X ing out Christ. After all he is a major part of this Christmas season. And seriously it doesnt take that much longer to write Christmas! lol
Second I really hate the gaining weight part of pregnancy. I know I know I am growing a baby and so that is a part of it but seriously. I am not a skinny person to begin with and it takes a lot for me to lose weight so I hate when I have to watch the scale go up! And to go along with that I hate the lucky people that dont have to workout really and can eat whatever they want and still dont gain that much weight when they are pregnant and if they do it just falls off of them right after they push the kid out and nurse their babies! I really wish I were one of those people and I know I have months before I even push this kid out and start the process of losing all this weight and trying to get some body confidence back but these are the kind of things I think about!! But while the scale continues to go up I will continue to do my best at doing some form of working out everyday and watch what I put in my mouth! So on a happy note I played the kinect for and hour today while the kids napped and when Tyler gets home I am going to go on a nice walk ALL BY MYSELF!!!
Not sure if I dig being pregnant around the holidays with all the yummy food! Sad news tho this baby gives me heart burn all the time but especially when I have any soda which really sucks but even worse when I eat cookies and chocolate! Not sure I am digging any of that but maybe it is trying to help me from eating to much and gaining even more then I already am destined to! lol

But I really do love the thought of a wiggly little baby inside me and it worth being fat! I just cant wait to be done having kids and getting some nice work done on my belly! POOR TYLER!

Fun Weekend

Friday night we watch the Adam’s girls so the parents could enjoy a date night. Ronnee loves when they come over! They stayed busy playing doctor on Tyler and decorating cookies and to finish the night we watched “The Grinch” and had candy. It was pretty cute to see all 4 girls sitting and watching the movie.

Alma and Callie are such sweet girls and really help the little girls so much!  Thanks girls for the fun night!

Saturday Morning we woke up and got ready and the Adams family came over for breakfast then we all loaded up in the car and drove to Virginia City to go for a train ride on the Candy Cane Express!  Ronnee and I had never been on a train ride so we were pretty excited!  It was an hour long ride and they served us Hot Chocolate or Cider and Cookies! They also had one of Santa’s elves come around and get our Christmas wish so he could tell Santa! The girls had a lot of fun singing songs and playing along with the entertainment. Overall it was  a really fun time! I hope to get to take Ronnee on the Polar Express one of these years!!

Christmas

Some where in the last few days I found some motivation! We have put up and decorated a tree and put a few lights outside. Can't wait until the lights go on sale after Christmas so we can actually have lights on the whole house! Tyler is very weird about buying lights at full price! lol
I have got a little bit of my shopping done. At least now if Christmas comes and I dont get any more shopping done Ronnee will have some gifts to open!
I have done my Christmas Goody plates for all my neighbors!
I Wrote a Christmas Letter...

2011 has been a good year for this Ortiz family! Tyler has been busy at work and still loves his jobs most days. He is very good at it and loves his team. At one point this year he was ranked number 7 in the company for sales which is pretty awesome since he had only been working there for 3 years! His company took a big hit by losing one of their biggest accounts so his team has suffered but Tyler has taken it and is using it as motivation to work that much harder! He is a great provider for our family and when he isn’t working he is very dedicated to working out! I wish some of that would rub of on me but I admire his OCD about going to the gym! He also enjoys fishing and goes as often as he can! I am glad he has a hobby to get his energetic self out of the house! I cant wait for Ronnee to be old enough to join him on his trips to the river!
I myself am doing pretty good! I am pregnant with our 2nd child due March 31st. This pregnancy has been quite a bit different then my first but we are surviving! We are not finding out again and it drives some crazy but Tyler gets a kick out of not knowing so I go along! This year I have gotten to go to AZ quite a bit. I went for the month of July and we had so much fun and kept busy with Mickey getting married! When I am not taking trips I keep myself busy with projects around the house. It is nice to have good friends that help me get into crafts and keep me busy! Ronnee keeps me busy also; she is full of energy and has me on the go most of the time. She loves going for walks and making messes!
Ronnee turned the big 2 this year and has grown up so much! She is such a joy and I can’t imagine what I would do without her. She is a lot like her father and never stops going! She talks a lot which makes her that much more bossy! We took on the task of potty training shortly after her 2nd birthday and it has been a challenge but I knew she was smart enough and ready! She is a smart little cookie and loves to do things for peoples reactions! She is a big tease and always up to something! She loves all animals so she had a blast when we went to AZ. She loves loves loves horses and dogs! When it was nice outside she would spend all day outside with her dogs. They are so good with her and she would live with them in their kennel if we would let her. Winter is hard on her because she hates jackets so she has to be trapped inside watching her dogs from the window! Let’s hope this winter flies by for the both of us!

We have had such a fun and blessed year! Thank you so much to all of you for helping us with that! Not sure what we would do without good friends and awesome families!

Cool things at the Ranch..

While at the Ranch with Jacob I found some cool things and things that bring backs some good memories of being a little girl going to the Ranch with my Grandpa! Man I miss those days and that great man!

I always loved when Grandpa would take us to Uncle Demar’s house and he would give us cookies and one of the times we got to ride on the back of the horse trailer to the next ranch!   One of the times going to the ranch with Josh and Caleb and Grandpa, after leaving Uncle Demar’s house we were driving to Uncle Bryan’s ranch and Grand[a let us ride on the tailgate. We were going along and hit a bump and the bail of hay in the back fell and knocked Josh off the back of the truck and the bail of hay landed on top of him. Caleb and I were trying to yell for my Grandpa to stop the truck but he was in the cab listening to Linda Ronstadt(sp) and couldn’t hear us! lol It was so funny after we finally got him to stop and Josh was okay!   Those were the good old days!

It is seriously December…

So we got home from our trip on Monday and I have absolutely no motivation to get ready for Christmas. I have so much I need to do!

My list doesn’t seem to long but it sure feels really long because I have no desire to do anything. I have been cleaning and keeping up with life but just not getting anywhere.  Someone please send me some motivation!

 

But on a happier note… I feel like I need to write about how much fun my daughter is. She cracks me up. She does get me stressed and is a ball of energy but she is so darn cute!  While on our trip she learned how fun it is to act like a dog… she barks, pants and makes everyone pet her. She even was doing it at the theater. I kept saying can you please be a little girl again and she would bark at me! hahaha  She also started cleaning Mimi’s face by licking her finger and wiping it on her face. Kids pick up on everything.  She loves to hold you and say that you are cold. And now she uses that as an excuse when you want her to walk, she says “i cold” whenever she is walking and doesn’t want to. Most of the time it isn’t even close to being cold.  She also like to say that she is sleeping when I want her to do something that she doesn’t want to. She closes her eyes and everything. Quite funny to watch. 

She is quite loving and affectionate. She rocks and walks around bouncing her babies to sleep and makes sure they are nice and warm. And when we are in bed she likes to put her hand around my neck and have me lay on her shoulder and when I fall asleep she goes to her own space and passes out! When ever she gets injured she just wants you to kiss it and it becomes magically better!

Her new thing is to run. She runs around the house for hours saying “ I running!”  Man I wish I had her energy! She was running in my moms house and ran right into the table. Left a mark and all but that didn’t stop her from running!   She also enjoys jumping!  She jumps in the air and lands directly on her butt! Not sure how it doesn’t hurt!  She even will climb on things and jump off and land on her butt. Laughing the whole time!  She is a funny one!

Potty training is going so good! Got a little rough for a while but she is good now. We still have accidents because she doesn’t want to take a break from playing but for the most part she is good. Earlier today I was watching TV and it got really quiet and so I went and looked for her and she was in the bathroom sitting on her toilet in the zone. Head tilted to the side and all. I turned on the light and she jumped. She has decided it is nice to just sit on the toilet and relax while you go #2!

She has a new obsession with watching disney movies. It was Cars for a while then we went to Tiger( the Lion King) and now we are on to doggies (Fox and the Hound). She doesn’t really sit through any of these movies but she loves to have them on so when she runs into that room she can see it on the tv!

I was just taking a bath with Ronnee and she was being so cute and fun that I felt like I needed to write down all these fun things so that when she is throwing a temper tantrum for no reason I remember why I dont sell her to the Gypsies!
