Quick trip to AZ…

A couple weeks ago I got to make a special trip to AZ to say my goodbyes to the sweetest lady in the world! Jacque Baca will be missed greatly by so many! What a great example she was to me. She went through so much and was still the strongest most kind spirited woman I know! I am so glad it was able to work out for me to go and be there for my mom and friends!

On a happier note I got to take Cutler home to meet my family! We left Tyler and Ronnee at home and made a quick trip. Everyone loved the little guy and it was nice to have all the willing hands to  hold him!

We also got to celebrate Caleb graduating from ASU! Way to go CALEB! What an awesome accomplishment! Now the fun begins! Good luck with the interviews!

She thinks we’re just fishin...

Or is could say “He thinks we’re just fishin…” I love that song! I am not sure who even sings it but it sums our night! 

Tyler decided because it was hot (85degrees) that we should go up to Spooner Lake in the mountains and go fishing. It was pretty fun watching  Tyler in his element. He gets so excited when he goes fishing and I think he loved having us along with him. Ronnee had a fun time even though she was afraid that her dad was going to make her touch a fish at first but by the end of it she was asking to touch one. In the beginning every time we would reel one in she would run as far away as possible. And the last fish we caught she brought Tyler the measuring tape and asked to pet it! lol   She is a funny kid! One big accomplishment of the day was Ronnee peed outside in the wilderness! This is huge for a kid who has a weird thing with using the bathroom!  After going potty she walked around with no pants on. Good thing we were the only ones fishing!

I also need to mention that I caught my first fish and it was the biggest of the day! Tyler was a little jealous but he got over it!   It is adventures like this that make  me realize what an awesome life I have! We are so lucky and blessed! I am sure there will be many more fishing trips with this little family. And hopefully one of these trips Ronnee will catch a fish and make her daddy proud!

I shall put you in a zoo!

On Saturday we woke up to a super jealous little girl so we decided to take her to the Zoo where only she would enjoy herself. She loved it, but not the animals you would think. I thought she would love the lions and the monkeys but she really only loved the deer because she could run with them. She couldn’t figure out why we wouldn’t let her in with the other animals so she could pet them!  When we got there she acted a little shy and cold and wanted to be held but before we new it she was running with the deer!  

I took her and Mason again on Monday and she was crawling around on the ground like she was a deer. And she would hug them, so you could imagine how she smelled after!    This little girl will probably grow up to be a vet or something!

1 month for Mr. Cutler

Cutler boy is already a month old!  He is a pretty good boy. He is 23 in long and 10.6lbs. Growing has slowed but he is still growing. Tyler says that I have skim milk! I eat plenty of fat so not sure what I could do to make it more fattening.  He has to go to bed early, if he is awake past 7 he is an angry boy. He sleeps for 4 or 5 hours the first stretch and then he wakes up every 2 hours after that. Makes for some long nights. Cant wait for some longer stretches. He is a good napper and is awake more during the day.  He will hang out and chill for a little bit but gets pretty spoiled at times and has to be held. One big difference between him and Ronnee at this age is he will put himself to bed. If it is close to nap time I can just lay him in his bed and he will just hang out in there until he falls asleep. Ronnee had to be nursed to sleep or had to have her binky and be rocked to sleep. He is not quite as touchy feely as she was and is! He is smiling more and more and it is so cute! Have yet to get a cute picture because once he sees the camera or a phone he stops and stares at it. We are loving every minute of this little boy and his sister is becoming more and more interested everyday. I know she is going to love when he can play with her!

These pics crack me up! He really does love bath time. He could relax in there all day if his sister would let him!

He loves his tent, but it makes mommy nervous because if he is in it his sister has to join him. She calls it her boat! I hate that she can unzip it and help herself inside when I am not looking!

Really..

Ronnee's favorite word right now is "really." She really likes every thing and she really wants to go shopping and yesterday she made a really big poop! It is quite funny hearing her say it all the time. If you dont respond to her request she thinks if she adds really to it then you will jump on it. She always really really needs something normally candy! The other day she told Tyler that she really liked his pants, shirt, hair, glasses, shoes and tie. She was just so happy to see him that she needed to tell him how much she really liked his whole outfit! He was pretty proud!
And if you ever want to win Ronnee over just wear something that has a picture of a horse on it. Tyler was wearing a shirt with a horse on it and she couldn't get enough of him or his shirt. All day she kept telling him how much she really like his horse shirt! I am on the look out for a shirt with a horse on it for me!
She currently only wears shirts or clothes that have pictures of animals on them. Her favorite is her horse jammies and shirts. I sometimes hide them so that we can wear some of her other clothes.
This little girl cracks me up on a daily basis. She is a ball of energy and we wouldn't have it any other way. With that said I am grateful for the warmer weather and the dogs so that she can take that energy outside sometimes and give me some rest!
The other day I was telling her that her dad should be home and she said "immediately." Haha She is so smart and it scares me sometimes!
She has really good manners and says "your welcome" so cute! And if she tells you 'Thank you" she will make sure that you respond with 'your welcome." She is helping us all with our manners! I love when she is yelling "excuse me" to the dogs and they dont listen so she just keeps yelling it!

Goals

Well lets see… my goals were put on hold for a few weeks. I haven’t been working out or cooking many meals. I have been keeping up on my spreadsheet and I think I am being a good mommy to my sweet kids and I gave birth to a son so I am good on the good wife part too!

I am looking forward to exercising again and after the meals stop getting delivered I will start cooking again!

For future reference… I walked 217 miles! But I gained pretty much the same amount weight this time as I did with Ronnee. Lets hope next pregnancy that I can walk even more and not gain so much!

2 weeks for Cutler

My mom left on the day that Cutler was 2 weeks old. Bring on real life!!  Mason came back that day also, so Ronnee had her friend back and was a happy camper.

We had a 2 week checkup and Cutler is already weighing 9lbs 11oz! At his 3 day check up he was at 8lbs 6oz so he is a good little eater for sure! Ronnee gained like this at the beginning but I am hoping he continues because I love how chunky he is!

My little man that was an awesome sleeper in the hospital is still an okay sleeper but loves to be awake in the weee hours of the morning. It makes for a very tired mommy the next day because my daughter is a night owl. He was a morning kid in the womb but I was hoping when he was born that he would not be!  So we are thinking that Ronnee was a better sleeper at this age then he is. He sleeps for 3 to 3.5 hours his first stretch at night and then wakes up every 2 hours after that. And when he wakes he thinks he is starving and eats like a champ. During the day he sleeps a lot but still wakes every 2 or 3 hours starving. I hoping that he can start sleeping longer for me at night but for now I will continue feeding this little pig when ever he thinks he is hungry! I should add that he sleeps in his pack n play which is huge for us because as you all know Ronnee slept with us. And he can self sooth which is so nice. He very rarely falls asleep while nursing!

We also started giving him a bottle of pumped milk every day. Tyler loves feeding him and insisted that this kid was going to take a bottle because Ronnee never would. So far he loves the bottle and nursing so I guess it is working!

I love this picture… Ronnee is such a funny girl. Every time we give Cutler a bath she thinks she needs to get in with him. Glad she has a small butt so she can sit in his tub with him. Cutler really loves bath time, he gets so relaxed. But I am not sure if he like his sister taking his space from him and splashing!

Good luck Cutler she is your sister for life!

Easter!

Well we had a pretty boring Easter, but it was still really nice. Cutler and I stayed home and napped while Tyler and my mom and Ronnee went to Mass and then Church. It was a nice quiet 3 hours for me and the little man. When they came home Ronnee napped and woke up extremely grumpy so I thought hiding and finding eggs would cheer her up. I was way wrong! She was happy carrying her Easter basket around but when outside she refused to pick up any eggs. So Tyler picked one up and put it in her basket to show her what to do and she threw it! Haha then she went and pouted on the front step.

While Tyler was gathering the eggs from the yard he showed her that they had candy in them and so she decided to pick one up but wouldn’t gather all of them! I video taped the whole thing to show her when she is older how fun she was as a 2 year old!

My mom was so nice and cooked us a nice ham and some yummy potatoes and we finished it off with some cake!

I should add that part of the reason Ronnee was so grumpy was that she said she her belly was hurting. I told her to go to the bathroom and poop and she then proceeded to puke on the carpet. I felt bad for not believing her. Not sure why she puked because she didn’t have any candy and never puked again. Glad it was short lived!

And sadly I didn’t get any pictures of the 2 kids together on Easter. I decided not to waste my mom on buying an Easter dress because Ronnee refuses to wear dresses. And I hoping one of these days I can get some cute pictures of the 2 of them dressed up together!

Thank you Mom for all the yummy food you made us while you were here. You are missed for sure!
