Reno Rodeo Parade!

Saturday morning we woke up and headed to downtown Reno to watch the  Rodeo parade.  Ronnee loved it and sat there in awe the whole time.  She could have cared less about the candy that people were throwing all she cared about were all the pretty horses!  I think she wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up!

Tyler was out of town and I really wanted Olive Garden so I left the house to go get it even though I knew I was supposed to stay home all day! And on the way home from Olive Garden some big Ford truck rammed into the back of me! It was a lovely day to say the least! Now I have to go to the Chiropractor 3 times a week for 4 weeks. I have a rib out and a few vertebrates.  But I am grateful that the kids were good, just got scared and I was not injured more! Thank heavens for a big huge car!

Thursday morning we met with Jen and the kids and watch the cattle drive. We had never been before but everyone says it is really fun.  We got there just in time and watched the cows and the horses and it was over in 5 minutes. Tristen and Ronnee kept looking at us and then looking down the street to see if there was anymore. Lol Poor kids were so excited and were a little disappointed. Next year we will probably pass and just go find a field to see the cows in!

Then later that night we went to our first and only baseball game as a family! lol next time Tyler can go alone and I will stay home with the kids.  Cutler loved it and Ronnee loved running away from us and screaming when we would hold her!  We sat in the outfield grass and she ran all the way to behind home plate and never looked back! Tyler was so mad and embarrassed by the time he got back to me.  But besides that it was a lot of fun for me because I was sitting in the grass with Cutler while Tyler watched Ronnee!

Camping

Tyler loves camping and fishing so he had been planning this camping trip for a long time. He was so disappointed when the weather turned out to be cold and windy! It was the middle of June you would hope that the weather would be perfect but with Tyler’s luck it was not! But we all still had fun especially Ronnee and Tyler!

We went with the Fedewa’s, the Adams, and the Phillip’s Families! The kids had a fun time getting dirty, throwing rocks in the lake, and dancing!

This sweet little serious face laughed for the first time while we were camping!

And it is a good thing that our dogs are so so patient!

It was a fun weekend but I hope next time we have warmer weather! Ronnee played so hard both days that she passed out on my lap both nights! Something that never happens! Cutler was a good boy and was held constantly because it was cold so when we got home he wanted to be held all the time!

Children's Museum

So we decided to buy a membership to the Children’s Museum to give us something indoors to do with our time. We have gone a handful of times already and each time we go we try a new fun room. It is so cool to watch Ronnee figure out new things and explore and learn so much. It is really nice when Cutler is sleeping because I get to interact more with Ronnee and help her learn. The museum is so cool. It has so many different rooms and we have yet to visit all of them. This last time we went they had the paints out and Ronnee loved it. It was hard to get her away from it. I think I might need to get brave and have a painting day at home!

0606121010aIt is also really nice that our friends have memberships also so we have some people to go with!

It is hard to see her but she got really brave and almost climbed to the top of the cloud. Good thing Callie was there to climb up and show her the way back down!

I am so glad we were talked into getting a membership. We all really enjoy it!

Cutler is a funny boy and loves to make his eyes go really big. Raymond does this too and he calls it Popping Eye Balls!  And he wasn’t to thrilled about wearing this hat so it makes the picture even more funny!

Life

I have been meaning to just post my thoughts about how we are doing and what has been going on but never seem to find the alone time to sit and type. Well the kids are both still asleep so I figured I should better take advantage...
Tyler is doing really good. He has been fishing a lot and this weekend he is taking us all camping on a lake. So he is a happy boy! He continues to workout all the time. Wish I had is working out OCD!  Work is going for him. They changed computer systems a few months ago and are still having problems. It is the first time since he has worked for Cardinal that I have heard him say he is stressed. It takes a lot to stress him out so I hope they figure out all the problems!
Me well I haven't had a Pepsi in 2 weeks! Something triggered in my head and I have been motivated to lose some more of this baby weight. I have been writing down everything that I eat, walking/running, and not having soda or candy! So far I have lost 4 lbs and 6.5 inches. I hope it continues! I need to  be able to wear more of my clothes before we take our trip to CO/AZ!  I am doing pretty good on the not getting enough sleep at night. Not sure how I am managing to go with no naps but that is the best time for me to get stuff done. Plus the kids rarely take a nap at the same time. That would be way to nice! I feel like we are starting to get the hang of things. Now if I can figure out how to manage my 2 year old and not care when people say stupid things or look at me funny when she is running through the store and hiding from me. I worry to much about what people are thinking. It stresses me out that she doesn't listen and is so high spirited!
So on to Ronnee... She is Ronnee! She has a mind of her own and is not afraid to tell you or anyone else if she doesn't want to wear/do/go somewhere. We are currently working on finding her a swimsuit that she will wear. She would rather go nude then wear a swimsuit. The other day I was watering my flowers and I turned around and she was sitting butt naked on top of the dog. SICK! And we were at the neighbors house playing in the pool and she was trying to swim naked. Finally convinced her to wear shorts. But when the shorts got wet she took them off and played in the sand naked. Sand where sand should not go!  But I found her a cute suit with a giraffe on it and it is a shirt with some shorts, so lets hope this weekend when we go swimming while camping I can get her to wear it!  She is still obsessed with horses and always has one in her hand and watching them on the TV. Secretariat is a favorite and the movie Spirit. I am grateful for that she can express herself but man does it make things challenging most days. She is a crack up and so gosh darn cute that I think we might survive a while. But man am I not looking forward to Teenagehood with this little spit-fire!
Cutler is a pretty good boy. He has been sleeping better at night but only taking cat naps during the day so he gets pretty cranky because he is so tired. He is on strike and only wants to sleep in my arms but even then he only takes a small nap. So I will keep putting him in his bed to sleep and hope that he starts sleeping longer. He loves to be swaddled. At night I swaddle him and lay him in his bed and he passes out! So nice. Ronnee would never do that and will still never do that.  This morning he was making alot of noise in his bed so I figured he wanted to nurse so I went and picked him up and started to nurse him. Well he nursed until I had a let down and then let the milk go all over me and his face, made a huge grunt, passed some gas, smiled at me and then went back to sleep. So glad I woke up for that!  He moves so much and is trying to roll himself over. I thought I would get a kid that would want to be lazy but nope I think he is trying to keep up with his sis already!
Well I hear one of the kids so now my day is starting. Glad I ate my breakfast and got to blog in peace!

Birth Announcement

I sent these out a while ago but I wanted to still post it on my blog.

Thank you so much Kathryn for doing these for me! They turned out so cute. Not sure what I would do without you in my life!  Love you!
