July 2nd we hit the Road to Colorado

We hit the road in the morning and headed to Utah where we stayed with the Daltons!  He was one of the missionaries that lived next door to us when we lived in Sacramento. And it just so happened that Tallguy was going to come stay with us too! It was so fun to see them both!

The next morning we took off at the same time they were headed to work.   We made it Colorado in the afternoon. The kids cried the last 3 hours of the drive . We were beyond ready to get out of the car! Pueblo never looked so good!

The 4th of July was pretty low key since we were still recovering from the car ride. But we did do some swimming…

Grandma Evie brought over a little puppy for Ronnee to watch while she went to Cripple Creek.  She was in heaven because this dog was little enough for her to walk and for it to ride with her! And sweet Brooklyn was the cars engine!

That was about the extent of our 4th of July because Ronnee started getting the stomach bug that Tyler had. So as I am sure you can guess she was pretty pleasant for the rest of our trip and it got even better when Cutler got it!  But we still managed to have some fun…

She loved this ride last time and obviously wasn’t feeling it today. She did love the Rollercoaster! We went on it like 3 times! She also enjoyed the train ride!

Basically the rest of the time Ronnee was in her Jammies at home on the toilet. Her poor bum was so raw and she was getting so skinny!

2 of the nights we were lucky enough to have Tyler’s parents watch the kids so we could go and enjoy his High School Reunion. Friday night I came home early because Cutler wouldn’t take a bottle and Ronnee was upset. But Saturday night Cutler took a bottle and Ronnie brought him to me to nurse another time. Poor Tyler’s parents were dealing with a really crabby little girl. Thank heavens for Brooklyn’s help and the stinky puppy!

The Reunion was really fun and Tyler had a great time seeing all of his old friends. He was the life of the party as always!

Sunday Ronnee was still sick and poor baby Cutler was starting to get sick. We were all running on little sleep even though one night Cutler actually did a 7 hour stretch it was just to bad I was up every half hour with Ronnee. That sickness was kicking her trash!

Monday it actually rained in Colorado and we got to run and play in the rain!

Tuesday Morning we woke up and loaded the sick kids to make the drive to Az! I felt super bad for Tyler’s parents because they didn’t get to enjoy the fun Ronnee because she was so sick. So glad to eventually be living closer so maybe we can enjoy a vacation to Colorado where no one gets sick!

3 months for Cut!

While we were in Idaho I learned that my Great Grandma Lavinia (I am named after her) called my Great Grandpa Cutler “Cut.” So if Cutler gets a nickname I think it should be Cut! So cute plus it makes sense to have the same nickname as a person he was named after!

It is crazy that he is already 3 months old! We are loving having him around. Ronnee is showing more interest in him and calls him “her baby” and always checks on him and loves when he wakes up! She gets so excited and kisses him all over! I love that except when she wakes him up and he doesn’t need to be woken up!  We are having some sleep issues but I think he is eating all the time instead of sleeping because he is growing. He isn’t the best napper but hopefully he gets better. He still does a 4 hour sometimes longer stretch in the beginning of the night but wakes up a lot after that to eat.  I may need to start going to bed with him at 7 so I get more rest! He will put himself to sleep which is nice. I just nurse him and lay him down and he will curl up and go to sleep. He is not a fan of the binky but will use it occasionally. He prefers to chew on his hand or a blanket.  He is laughing and smiling a lot and is almost rolling over. He likes to be facing out so he can see what is going on. He loves going on walks. He loves his sister and is a mommy’s boy for sure!

He is 25.5 in long and 13.1 lbs!

I had a little photo shoot with him this morning and I can’t get over how cute he is! I am not sure who he looks like but he is so handsome! I told Ty I could be done having kids because I have the cutest little boy and cutest little girl! Man am I blessed!

Ronnee of course couldn’t help but get in the middle of all of it. It was funny because you can tell by looking at the pictures when she would show her face because Cutler would stare at her! He is obsessed with her!

So serious! He wouldn’t smile for me of course. I need to do this when Tyler is home next time so he can distract him from looking at the camera.

Trip to Idaho!

Tuesday morning we loaded up the cars and headed to Boise to see Grandma Mickey!  The kids all did really good in the car but were sure glad when we made it!  It was really fun visiting with my Grandma and Aunt Janet and the rest of the family! So glad it worked out that I could go with them up to Boise. I know my Grandma loved it and was so happy to see us all!

We stayed one night in Boise and then the next afternoon we headed to Burley to see my Grandpa. It was a nice short drive right during nap time!  My Grandpa lives on the Snake River so there was a lot of exploring to be done for the kids. Glad it is a hike down to the river so the kids couldn’t go on there own!

We headed home on Thursday morning so I could get back to go the Chiropractor by 5. Another long day in the car but we all survived. Friday Tyler got sick so he was home in bed or in the bathroom and we went and road the go carts and had a picnic at the park. Saturday morning Ike and Steph headed home. The women headed out shopping and the boys got rodeo tickets. Tyler was still sick but was a good sport and took Sam to the Rodeo Finals. He said he spent most of the time in the bathroom. He got some kind of food poisoning.  The rest of the Fam left Sunday morning really early. It was sad to see them go but we will see them in a couple weeks!
