Kids and the love of parks!

We live outside most days! When cold we bundle up but thank heavens for mild winters! We walk everywhere. So good for the kids and me! We are so lucky to have 3 parks within walking distance of the house so we are always on the go. The kids love to get out and RUN! Cutler can make it a little over a mile and Ronnee goes about 3. Their energy is amazing! They are growing up to fast!

They have a new love for fishing! Mainly I think they just like getting out with their daddy!

He is my little cleaner! Even puts up the legs of the couch to sweep!

She got a new horse and had to introduce her to the rest of the horses!

One of his many bumps and bruises! Our kids are rough! Good think they are tough! Half the time I don't even know where the owies come from!

Life!

We are still dealing with the stress of the house not selling! Once that is gone things will hopefully get a little better around here and we will be sleeping again!
The kids are busy as ever and keeps us so entertained! Cutler talks so much!  So crazy he is almost 2! My baby is no longer a baby and is constantly reminding me of that! He has the cutest little voice! He loves to bother is big sister and is always hitting her! I finally let her hit him back and he wasn't to sure about that! He loves sports! At the park if we forget his bat and ball he will find a stick and a pine cone and hit that around! He has amazing hand eye coordination!
Ronnee is hilarious! I wish I could remember all the stories... when I get mad at her for being to loud or to wild she respond with "I am just being a kid mom!"   She is dramatic and hates when we have to leave her friends and family. She cries "I am gonna miss them!" which makes everyone feel special! She is not shy and all and talks to everyone. She tells them her name and that she is 4 and loves horses!  We go to the park a lot so that she can play and talk to other people and not just me! haha sad to say but is nice to have a break!   She is still obsessed with Horse and is either riding a stick horse, acting like one, or playing with her little ones! I thought she would grow out of this stage but that has yet to happen.   Her favorite color is black, so when she was reunited with her dogs all she could say to Tulo was "you're so black, you're so black!" It was quite entertaining. Her favorite stick horse is named Blackie!  These kids make a stressful day a little more stressful at times but also a breath of fresh air!
Another Ronnee story that I am not sure I have written down or not so I will write it again...When we were home one of our many trips home Caleb happened to be in town also and Ronnee loves him! Well one night they were in the bunk house watching a movie and so Ronnee sat right next to him and started playing with his hair and then looks at him and says "I want to kiss you on the mouth!"  Caleb could not stop laughing. This girl loves to kiss especially when she knows the person she is kissing doesn't want her to kiss them!

For now to handle the stress we will walk a lot and get fresh air and continue making our kids life fun and entertaining! Their imaginations are amazing to watch!

Super Bowl!

SAD SAD SAD!!! We were so happy and thrilled that Daddy's team made it to the Super Bowl this year but is was a sad game to watch. Poor Tyler was a little depressed. I felt so bad for him. He puts his whole heart into his sports teams and to have it crushed was so sad!  But we still love the Broncos and look forward to next season!   I must add that is nice to be living in an area where there are a lot of Broncos fans. Having lived in San Jose and Reno where there are a lot of Raiders fans it is a nice change! No body getting mad at us or threatening us for cheering for the Broncos!

30 Flirty and Thriving!

I turned the big 30! I thought I would handle it fine and I really did for the most part but I was a little emotional about the whole thing. I am not sure why but I used to think 30 was old but not that I am 30 it really isn't! I don't feel old at least but sometimes I look in the mirror and see all my wrinkles and it is so much harder to lose weight so I realize that I am old! Thank heaven I have blonde hair so I don't have to worry about seeing my gray hair. I have yet to find one but I am sure they are there! But now that I have come to grip with being 30, I am going to make these next years the best! My goal is to become my best me! I need to get my butt in shape and be more positive!
To celebrate we went to dinner with Mickey and Albert while my neighbor watched the kids. We went to Tacano's which is a yummy Brazilian Steakhouse! It was so yummy and so nice to have a dinner date with no kids! Tyler also gave me a tablet! I am spoiled rotten!

Happy 6 years to Tyler and I!

Tyler and I made it to 6 years!  We have been stressing with house stuff but we manage to get on a dinner date to celebrate! It was nice to have a yummy dinner with just Tyler! Thanks to Mickey for watching the kids!  What an exciting 6 years it has been with lots of moves, 2 kids, and tons of fun memories! Cant wait to see what the next 6 years brings us!

Trip to Colorado to get Dogs!

We left the Dogs in Colorado when we went for Thanksgiving and we needed to go get them and the kids wanted their Christmas from Mimi and Snakes!  We are so lucky that Mimi and Snakes don't mind having the dogs. It makes it easier sometimes when we travel a lot! Note to self: Think about how hard it is to travel with dogs and how hard it is do find a pet sitter before you plan on getting more dogs! But that is besides the point! Thank you to them for watching the fur brats!
The kids got super spoiled by them. Mimi discovered the awesome after Christmas Sales on toys! We nearly couldn't fit them in the car to take them home with us!
And for some reason I didn't take my camera so I will have to look through my cell phone pictures!

We also got a visit from Spiderman! Brooklyn is the best cousin and made the costume by herself!

And we got to watch Brooklyn play some basketball!

Happy New Year!

New Years Eve we celebrated at our house and did lots of eating and played some games on the Kinect!  I think we all made it to midnight except for maybe Cutler!  Bring on 2014!

The next day we got a visit from some of our favorites, the Barney's!  We love when friends come! They were driving back to AZ from visiting family in Colorado. So glad we are a good stopping point! The kids had a good time playing and snuggling to watch movies!! We miss having lots of friends! Sadly I didn't get very many pictures but we had such a good time. Now it is are turn to go visit them!

Christmas 2013 Letter!

Still have yet to send out Christmas Cards and I not sure if it will happen this year but I finally did write a letter for the year! I haven't missed a year since we got married so I didn't want to start now!

Christmas 2013

We started out this year with a big move! We moved from Reno, NV to Albuquerque, NM and man is nice to be so close to our families! We rented our house out in Reno and packed up and left on our 5th Wedding Anniversary. 4 different apartments and 1 home in 5 years! Our life is an adventure and you never know what is going to happen next!

Tyler transferred territories and is loving the challenge of his new area! He is learning a lot about dealing with a challenging manager and has figured out how to make her happy and his customers! He recently helped Caleb get a job with Cardinal and is loving helping him learn all the tricks to working with this company! He is an awesome mentor! He is on the phone a lot helping not only Caleb but a few of his other teammates with problems and helping them solve them! He is so good at it and I could see him being an awesome trainer for his company! Besides work he has been doing a lot of fishing and of course being a fun dad to Cutler and Ronnee!

Me well I am busy with the kids and keeping the house in tact! These kids don’t sit still and make plenty of messes and need plenty of energy to keep me on my toes! I have definitely enjoyed being closer to family and visit St. Johns often! Have to do it while I can because before I know it my kids will be in school and we will have to stay home!

Ronnee is 4 and thinks she is a horse most of the time! We get lots of look when horse mode kicks in in public places. It is a little crazy because she stops talking and only neighs and whinnies and walks on all 4s! This kid is something else! She has the best imagination and is always up to something! She is a sweet big sister and loves when Cutler wants to play with her! She has enjoyed being able to spend so much time with family especially her best friend Ivy!

Cutler is 1 and is all boy! He loves basketball, cars, trains, and throwing everything! He talks way to good and uses sentences and picks up on everything so quick! It amazes me all the time! I forget he is still only one! You just have to show him how to do something once and he catches on. His new thing is dribbling the ball before he shoots, thanks to Uncle Josh! We have quite the little athlete on our hands and daddy is loving it! It is funny how 2 kids from the same parents can be so different! He listens and follows direction and Ronnee HAS to do it her own way and on her own time!

We have had a fun busy year and it has ended on quite a stressful note so let hope this New Year starts out on a better one!

We wish you all a blessed and happy year!

Love,

The Ortiz Family!

Hope to get some letters sent out to those awesome people who sent me one at least! Only time will tell!
