Funny Tyler story!

I know I know I look sick but the rest of the pic is cute so I will sacrifice. But the point of this post is to tell the story to why I got the cabbage patch doll!. We were all sitting around chatting and Jacob has our name for Christmas this year and he was was asking what we wanted for Christmas. Tyler proceeded to ask me what I wanted most for Christmas and I named a bike, a bosch, and, jewelry. Tyler said "no what is it that you want most in the world?" And my answer was "A BABY" and Tyler said yes! And then Jacob looked and him and said "you want me to get you guys a baby?" It was so funny! Tyler was so embarrassed. We had to inform him that we are a close family but not that close! So as a joke Jacob gave me a cabbage patch doll to tease Tyler. No I am not pregnant but I do now have a cabbage patch doll! lol!

I didn't fall off the diet wagon! Last week were in the car to AZ so I couldn't weigh in then, and yesterday I did weigh in but forgot to post. I was able to maintain my weight through the Thanksgiving Holiday.I even ran twice while home for the holiday and hiked a little bit at the Grand Canyon. I am so excited for that but now I am going to get my butt in gear and get back to working out a lot and eating better!!

Happy Birthday Sammy boy!

Happy 12th Birthday Sam! I hope you have a fun day and wonderful year! I can't believe that you are already 12. That makes me really old! Love you bud! P.S. I know your birthday is the 3rd. I just forgot to post it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY DEAR!

LOVE YOU Mom! I hope you had a good birthday! Thanks for all that you do! FYI You have the nicest legs in the WORLD!

Thanksgiving!

We had such a fun Thanksgiving weekend! We were able to go home to Arizona this year. Lucky Tyler! lol! We actually had a good Thanksgiving week with no major fights. Getting that many people together in one house you can always count on at least one but we made it through! I think my mom had to escape a couple times to go get some caffine so she could deal. Thanks mom!!! We had everyone home except for Abe and his family and we missed them! Thanksgiving eve and morning were filled with lots of cooking. My mom and Rachel made like 15 pumpkin pies! Thank heavens I am not a pie eater otherwise I would have gained so much weight! Before we ate dinner we went on our annual Isaacson Family Turkey Trot! It was so cold and raining! But my mom said that she ran a marathon in the rain we could run a mile in the rain! I think that i was hail! lol! But we all made it even Grant, Aneron, and Raymond! Joshua got first for the mens and Hannah got first for the girls! One of these times I will be up there with her and my mom! After all the cooking and the runnning you can imagine how much we ate. Everything tasted so amazing! My mom is the best cook!
The rest of the weekend was filled with puzzles, Mario cart for the kids and men, reading twilight, and sending the kids outside to get some quiet time! It was such a fun weekend. I am sad that I wont get to be there for Christmas but I guess that is part of marriage. I will just have to call all the time and listen to all the noise! Thanks again mom for everything and thanks Steph for taking pictures of the family run! I am so thankful for such an awesome family!

The Loss of our Family pet of 14 years.

Superman passed away on Thanksgiving morning. He passed away in his sleep so we are grateful for that. He was such a good pet. We all sat around and told our memories about him. Jacob had a chicken that would sleep on him and Sam used to ride on his back. Sam would also go and hide under the trampoline whenever he would get in trouble. We had a cat that had kittens and died somehow and the kittens would sleep on him. He never bit anyone and the kids just loved him. I am sure he wasn't always perfect, but I can't remember when. I am sure my mom does. He was the best family pet in the world. I want to eventually have a puppy just like him. Superman you will be missed!

The Grand Canyon!

On our way home to St. Johns we decided to stop at the Grand Canyon for the night. It was SO AMAZING! We are for sure going back there another time and staying longer and hiking it. It kind of sucked that it was cloudy so we couldn't watch the sun set or see the sun bounce of the rocks but hopefully next time it will be sunny!

Hike yep you heard correctly a hike!

Tyler and I decided to go on a hike on Saturday. It was so pretty up there and we got to watch the sunset. I am not going to lie the altitude kicked my butt but the view was worth it. Here are some pictures from the top and one of a cute little house at the start of the trail!

Christmas Video!

This is a Nativity Movie with Amy Grant's Breath of Heaven as the music. I love it and I thought I would share!

WeDnEsDaY wEiGh In!

I have been so bad with this whole diet thing the last couple weeks. I am jumping back on the diet wagon today! I did weigh myself this morning and I gained a couple pounds so I am not to happy with myself. I haven't been working out as much because we have had family for the five days and of course that means we ate a lot also. So now that we are back to being alone I am going to literally work my butt off. I know it is Thanksgiving next week but I think I will still be good. I have lost fifteen pounds before in a holiday season and I am hoping that I can do it again!

Fun Weekend with Ronnie and Terri!

On Thursday evening Tyler's parents came for a visit. We did a lot of shopping, went to a football game, more shopping, went to Monterey, more shopping, and more shopping. It was a fun long weekend. They have never been to San Jose, they came and visited us in Roseville but this was their first visit here. I think that they loved it. We had perfect weather while they were here, in the 80's! It was so nice to have a bigger apartment. In Roseville we lived in a one bedroom and so they had to sleep on an air mattress in the front room, so you could imagine how we were all starting to feel. This time they had their own room and their own bed so we all slept in peace. The extra space made such a difference. It was so fun to have them here and I can't wait to see them at Christmas time.
We went to the Stanford vs. USC football game. I would go to a college game any day over an NFL one. USC ended up winning but at half time it was 17-17. The fans were so fun to watch and I was cheering for both teams. I was confusing everyone and then I would yell "GO FOOTBALL." I told Tyler that I was just cheering for the sport since I really didn't care for either team. We all had so much fun. Tyler and Ronnie loved sports and Terri was thinking about shopping and I was just yelling to yell! USC band was absolutely amazing and HUGE, poor Stanford band was like 1/4th of the size. I am going to sound like a band fanatic, but the USC band was so cool and so uniform. They would spell things out and they sounded so good. Then you had the Stanford band that was having a fun day or something so they were all dressed up in Halloween costumes and dancing around on the field like maniacs! But they were having fun so it made it fun. And did you know that Stanford's mascot is a TREE! So weird! So over all the game was AMAZING until after and we sat in traffic for 2 hours before we even left the parking lot! Here are some pictures from the game!

On Sunday we took a drive to Monterey. We took the scenic route there that took us through some vineyards and on a crazy road. But it was so pretty. I would love to live there! We got to Monterey and had some lunch on the Pier and walked a little bit. Then we got in the car and headed out to Sunset drive so we could watch the sun set. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We got there at the perfect time. The pictures don't even give it justice. But here they are. . . plus one that I took in the moving car that makes the lady look like a ghost and of course a cool tree!

PoSt NuMbEr 100! Chili's

I can't believe that I have posted 100 times, wait yes I can my husband reminds me that I am a blogaholic! I love blogging and I love reading how others are doing! So Tyler can kiss my butt because I am going to continue blogging!

I love Colorado Chili! There is nothing quite like it and I need to thank Ronnie for sending Tyler and I some. I got it and I spent the rest of the evening roasting it and freezing. Our apartment smelled heavenly and my salsa is now that much better because of it! THANK YOU RONNIE!

Nuggets game!

Thanks Carly for inviting us to the Nuggets game! We didn't get to sit by her and Jesse and there boys but it was still a really fun game. Brian and Lauren came with us which is always nice. It was nice to go to a game up there and have our car be safe. It was a way better experience! Tyler was one of the only Nugget's fan in the place! Now we need to go to a Sharks game and my life will be complete!

I love Roses. . .

My Grandma Isaacson had the best Roses in the world! I don't think I ever really thought about it until the other day while I was at work and they had some fresh cut roses on their counter and the smelled so good! They are so pretty and when I see them I think of my wonderful Grandma. She was such a good gardener. As a kid I always felt like it was such a chore to go down and help her with her garden and I now I realize how special it was. I can't wait to be able to have my own garden and plant my own roses. I should have paid better attention and learned more about gardening from her.

Soccer!

So after we left the kids with Cameron at the Halloween party we headed to watch Hannah play in the state soccer tournament in Tempe. We sisters of Hannah Mary Isaacson decided to dress up a little bit. We made shirts with her number on it and then Mickey's said HANNAH, Rachel's said MARY, and mine said ISAACSON!Oh yeah and I even put red in my hair. We are her biggest fans! It was a lot of fun! The girls team was awesome. They have so many talented players on their team. They won the game on Friday night and then the lost 1-0 on Saturday against Blue Ridge. They played so good but still didn't win. Better luck next year! I am so glad I was able to go and watch her play at least once this year.

Not only did I get to watch Hannah play but I got to watch Grant, Aneron, and Raymond play. Grant and Aneron are on the same team. They won their game and they both played awesome. Granty-pooh scored 3 goals and Aneron plays defense, which we aunties reminder her that it is a very important position. Their dad gets the slurpies if they score goals. He forgets that she never plays offense so therefore she will never get the opportunity to score. I think she deserves a few slurpies! And Raymond scored 2 goals in his game. He is going to be a superstar soccer player! While they were playing soccer CJ, Sam, and I played on the playground and cheered! It was a soccer filled day followed by some shopping with Hannah and the Mother!

It was such a fun weekend and I am so blessed to be able to be able to go and see my family and friends so often!

Halloween!

On Halloween morning I woke up at 4:30 am and got ready and got on a plane and flew to AZ!! It was fast flight and Rachel and the kids picked me up at the Airport and we went and met the rest of the family TC Eggington(sp) for breakfast. The kids looked so cute! Rachel made Cj a cute hat that looked like a candy corn and Ivy a cute witch hat. She is so talented! After breakfast my mom and I took Rachel's four oldest and Sam and headed to the zoo. It was quite the adventure. I had to act like Rachel so that I could use there season passes to get in and so the kids were calling my mom. They thought it was hilarious. Cj was the only one that thought it was a little strange. He didn't quite get it. But once we got in the zoo I became Naomi again. When we got there it was turtle feeding time so the kids got to feed them. They probably would have been just satisfied with that but we continued on through the zoo. We got to see a lot of fun animals and then my mom and Sam got this great idea to rent a bike! It was so much fun until we got to the hills and then we would have to make Sam and Grant get out and push us up the hill. I must say it was a great memory for the kids and my mom and I.

HALLOWEEN EVE!
The kids were dressed so cute! Grant and Aneron were dressed as Mickey and Minnie mouse and as always looked adorable. Raymond was dressed as an Ant on a picnic table, sounds intense but it was the cutest thing ever. Fit his personality completely. Rachel did awesome on his costume! And Cj was and is a CLOWN. He acts like a clown everyday but for the day he looked like it also. And cute little Ivy was the cutest Witch ever! And Samuel went with them also and he dressed up like a hunter! He is getting so tall!
We went trick or treating for a little while and then Rachel and I left the kids with Cameron at the Halloween party and headed to Hannah Mary's soccer game!
