Wicked!

We got to go see the play Wicked! It was amazing!   We went with Aneron, Mick, Albert, Caleb, Jake, and Kennis! My mom came and babysat for us!  If you haven't seen it you must!  We had such a fun night. Before we went to the play we went and had a yummy dinner and laughed so hard talking about childhood memories!  Then we went and watched the play and tried not to sing along to all the songs! We have the soundtrack at my mom's house and we listen to it often! Some fun music for sure!  I am so grateful for family and fun times!

Trip to Colorado

We were able to make a trip up to Colorado to spend some time with the Ortiz fam! Ronnee was still in her cast so she had a fun time showing them and letting them sign it! The kids always love going there and it nice that we are close enough to go!

Ronnee Turns 5!

Can you believe my baby girl is 5! She is the best thing ever! She has an amazingly funny personality and talks so fast that no one can understand her! Having a broken arm hasn't slowed her down a bit! She rocks her black cast but i can't tell if she likes the attention it brings!  She is so funny about answering questions about how it happened. She just says she doesn't want to talk about it! She isn't one to talk about things especially when she thinks it will cause her to get in trouble or anyone else!  She is a good big sister to Cutler and pretty helpful when asked. She loves her stick horses and rides them everyday on our walks! We have had a couple of them break and it is quite tramatic! One day she ran in crying that her horse broke hims leg! haha That one we taped back together and she still rides it. Another ones head fell off and that one had to be shipped to the glue factory also known as the dump!  This little one loves her horses and dogs!  A horse goes with us everywhere! And she has a surprisingly good horse noise!  She has over a hundred plastic and stuffed horses and when she gets a new one they all get introduced! It is quite entertaining. Kid have the best imaginations!
I am not sure what we would do without this spunky little lady! She keeps us on our toes and is always giving us a good laugh! She has a huge heart and is so patient with her brother!  Whenever I am sick or having a bad day she is so quickly to my side telling me it will be okay and that she loves me!  "Mom you are the best in the west!"
I know she loves me but she is a major daddy's girl and we joke that if she had to choose between the 2 she would say peace out to me! Hahaha I am the one that disciplines in the house obviously!  When her daddy is home she is always with him helping him do whatever he is doing! And she is blessed to have a dad that will let her and then plays with her!
What a blessing she is to our family!
P.S. I am so glad we dont live in Reno anymore because if we did she would be heading off ot kindergarten already!

She is 43.5 in tall and weighs around 38lbs!

Taking Audrey and Crystal to the Country!

We weren't sure if we were going to be able to make it to the fair this year because of the broken bone requiring surgery but kids are amazing creatures and Ronnee was good to go hours after surgery. She was asking to go to the park on the way home!
Our good friends  got to join us on our trip the SJ. They needed to experience small town life and a good ole County Fair!   It was so fun. It was both of their first times in AZ  and of course their first time in the Country!   And I think they loved it! Besides the not much sleep and the no coffee at my mom's house we all had a blast! We did a coffee run for Crystal and we spent the days at the fair exploring and the nights at the carnival or the Rodeo!  Audrey loved the freedom that living out of the city provides. When we were at my mom's house getting a break from the fair we never saw the kids! They were just running around outside enjoying themselves!   Crystal was so impressed that Audrey at one point got in the car with all the other kids and my sister and didn't even look back to see if her mom was coming! Haha   Kids love being with other kids!  I hope to have more adventure trips with friends to the fun place I grew up in!

A night at the baseball game and Ronnee breaks her arm!

We got invited to go to the baseball game with Jessie and Juan. We got there super early and poor Jessie is pregnant so it was a little hot a miserable while waiting for the game to start!   But after the game started it was a fun time until Ronnee fell. Tyler took them back to the playground to play for a little bit and brought them back because Ronnee was somehow knocked off the taller part of the playground ( to many big kids on a playground meant for little ones)  She was crying and holding her Right arm so I held her for little bit and she wasn't really calming down. I decided to go with my mom gut and take her to the EMTs  to check her out. They checked her out and twisted her arm but decided it was probably fine, so I went back to sit with everyone and then Ronnee just passed out! Probably from the pain!  Then I noticed her arm by her elbow was so swollen, like nearly the size of a baseball!
So I took her back to the EMT's and they said something was obviously wrong. ( I feel bad now but I should have had them at least put her arm in a sling for the car ride to the Emergency room!) So we loaded up the car and headed to the ER. Tyler dropped her and I off and he went and took Jessie and Juan back to there car and then later he and Cutler joined us.   The UNM ER was so nice because they actually have a pediatric ER so we didn't have to wait in the waiting room with all the crazy drunk and homeless people!  We got back pretty quick and Ronnee was a champ! She has such a high pain tolerance and was just laying on the gerny and not even crying. The nurses asked if we gave her anything and I said no and they were so surprised at how well she was handling things. It was so sad to see her just laying there!  They quickly gave her some pain med and she passed out again until they took her back to x-rays!
They told me that she would be super uncomfortable while they did the x-rays because of where the break was. They had to get weird angles and mover her arm around! OUCH!   But once again she was a champ!  After x-rays they got us into a room and Tyler and Cutler were able to join us! Thanks heavens because Cutler brought some comic relief and Tyler was there to help comfort our little injured girl! So the x-rays confirmed that it was indeed broke and right up by the elbow. So they told us that most likely it could only be fixed with surgery but they would try and fix it without surgery. That involved them knocking her all the way out to where she looked dead... it was freaky so cutler and I hung out outside!  Once she was knocked out they used a machine to pull on her arm and try and get it back into place! OUCH!  Well sadly that was not successful! So they wrapped her arm up and scheduled her surgery for Tuesday morning and we went home!
Monday she slept all day! Thankfully Mimi could come down and hang with Cutler while we took Ronnee to surgery! It was a little nerve racking sending my baby into surgery but she was so brave! She didn't want to talk about it at all and just kept a straight face. They took us back there to pre op and we were put in a room with a horse on the door which made her happy!   They put her in the cutest little scrubs that were huge on her and then they her some drugs to relax her and she became very entertaining! Haha she was so chatty and was saying her name was Lazy and then grabbed her crotch and said she was protecting her Coo Coo! Hahaha   I reminder her she had panties on!   Then the nurses came and wheeled her back and we went to the waiting room!
The surgery seemed like it took FOREVER!  But when the doc finally came out and talked to us she said the surgery went good. Instead of having to cut her up and fix her arm they were able to push a wire through her skin and twist the bone back into place!  Sound horribly painful but less evasive then cutting her open!    They then took us back to our sleeping girl with a nice black cast! The nurses and docs were shocked when she picked black and kept asking why she didn't want pink! Haha She would just say her favorite color is black!
When she finally woke up we went home and on the way home she was asking if she could go to the park because she had a hard cast on!  Seriously kids are crazy!    And when we got home she got on her scooter and took it for a little spin around the driveway!  She is crazy and we were so happy for that! They told us she would be in some pain and gave us a couple of prescriptions and in true Ronnee form was fine and never complained of pain. We did give some of the drug that they said would make her sleepy so we could get some rest and of course it had the opposite affect on her and she was wild!  No more of that crap!
She was doing so good that we were able to head to Sj on Friday to go to the Fair!!!
Pics to come!

Ronnee only had her cast on for 3 weeks! We went back 3 times to get a new cast and to get x-rays. Her body over produced bone and so she can't twist her arm which hasn't slowed her down. It is either that or her bones grew together. Either way there is a chance that later on in life she will need surgery to help that but my mommy instincts feels that she will be fine! She does so good as it is and it isnt affecting her at all!
I should add that it was her right arm and because she is right handed she had to learn to use her left! haha Even after the cast was off she still would prefer her left for a while! She also stopped biting her nails because with the cast she couldn't reach them!

Funny story~ When we would go to the doc they would have her try and touch her shoulder to see how far she could bend it. The first time they asked her to touch her should she used her other hand! Haha I think she just wanted to get out of there so she was like "see i can touch it!"  Haha she hated going in there and would get super quiet and nervous!  So glad we are done with that for now!

Tyler's Birthday/ Dirty Dash

Tyler's Birthday happened to fall on the same weekend we like to run the Dirty Dash!!! Last year it was on Aneron's birthday and this year Tyler got to run in the mud to celebrate! He get's to say for her 31st Birthday he got dirty and then showered off with a bunch of strangers!   This year Jake and Kennis came over and ran it with us! It was so fun! And as usual the boys were mean and got us girls super muddy!  The in laws actually brought the kids home the day before and stayed for the weekend to watch them while we ran and help Tyler celebrate his birthday!  The kids had a fun time making, decorating and singing to daddy!

A week with no kids!

The in laws asked if they could have the kids for a few days so we sent them away!  It was really nice the first couple days. I got so much done! The house stayed clean and I made quite a few baby blankets, I even think I got a few things deep cleaned! But after getting all that done I got real bored, so what did I do.... I went and got 10 inches cut off my hair! It was a fun change and I figured if I get pregnant anytime soon my hair will grow back fast thanks to pregnancy hormones!
The kids had a fun time and were spoiled rotten and spent a lot of time at the city park and running around outside!  I am sure Mimi and Snakes were exhausted by the end of each day! They were so happy to come home though and that made me feel good. It was a much needed break on all ends because it reminded us that we love and need each other!

Cute kid pics!

These kids are so fun and entertaining!  I love it!!   Ronnee is always on a horse and Cutler is throwing or swinging everything and Tyler well he is Tyler!

Trip to the Aquarium

We have a Zoo/Aquarium pass so we go as often as possible! The kids love it! Cutler especially loves the train rides! On this particular day the animals were pretty lively! The Polar Bears were pacing and the Gorillas were fighting and chatty!

Swim Lessons!

We signed Ronnee up for some swim lesson's with  her friend Audrey at a gym down the road. They loved it!  It was entertaining to watch Ronnee! Her teacher comment a few times on how strong she is! When she would submerge her she was kick so hard and fast to get back up! Haha And when she would have her float on her back she would panic a little but got better with time!  Jumping in was her favorite thing and the lifeguard would have to back up far because she would launch herself as far as she could! Haha  This little girl is so funny!  Cutler was a good boy while watching but it was killing him that he couldn't just get it with them!

She cant wait until she get in lessons again!

We also took a trip to the local pool one day so Cutler could enjoy the water too!

One day we got a call from Mick and Albert and they invited us to go bowling! It was a lot of fun!  The kids had a good time and so did the adults!
